Different anti-malware systems have different ways of handling things. But I believe the most common method is that the agent kinda acts akin to the proxy - it intercepts the request, scans it, and then passes it on to the browser/server.
Kaspersky has been particularly problematic with this approach for me in the past, as I’ve seen computers using Kaspersky unable to access Google because it was causing https errors.
Does it intercept HTTPS traffic, or does it simply read browser memory for the patterns in it? Like, I kinda doubt browser’s encrypting the already loaded page in memory and then decrypting to send the contents over to graphics display.

Guys, guys, what happened there?
Someone tried to eat an entire watermelon all at once.
I used Karspersky once. then one virus got into System32 and the computer broke because it deleted any files with viruses.

Practically everything I download on my desktop computer triggers Norton because of this WS.Reputation.1 shit. Thankfully, it doesn’t happen on my laptop.

Here’s the batch script that can delete an important system file.
I take a screen shoot notepad there, so it won’t be detected as Malicious by some anti-virus. and don’t try to run it unless if you want to destroy your windows.

It was a joke about how to delete an important system file.
However, it contained a line of actual batch script that likely would trigger any antivirus system of lesser intelligence.
Yup. Avast had a problem with one of the comments and disabled the comment section.

Now that I can read the comments again I’m curious, what was the deleted comment about?
Really?. Lol. Alright, I won’t take it personally. Maybe it wasn’t good idea to post that script using plain text. And next if have similar idea I will turn it to image first (like taking screencap from the original site) then posting it.
As funny as that was, that actually was tripping some people’s antivirus programs because it’s reading the inline commands. Please don’t take the deletion personally, you didn’t break any rules or anything, but that’s still an issue.

I know Kaspersky does that. I used to use Kaspersky until I found out about that. Especially since I found out because it was interfering with my ability to use Google.
So your ‘antivirus’ is literally reading all of the web pages you access through your browser…?
Damn. I’d be wondering to whom it’s phoning all that information, let alone that it’s reading everything.
Which company/program is this, anyway? I want to be sure to blacklist them for my clients.
Actually not kidding, I can’t load the comments on this computer because my anti-virus program thinks it’a a threat. All other comment sections on Derpibooru are fine though.
Better yet:
The 8 inchers are all stuck to the filing cabinet, next to the cassette tapes.
