I don’t know… I can’t take this seriously as a political cartoon while it’s still moderately comprehensible. At the very least it needs a giant Tirek in the background vaporizing trees to represent some obscure financial policy you’d need a masters in economics to even have heard of, let alone comprehend. And maybe discord making super sarcastic comments about trade deficits.

I want it to turn out that in-Universe, Brownie Bun is the one who draws all these anti-monarchy cartoons, because she said previously she doesn’t like alicorns and came to the human world due to overreacting to something and believing she was being politically persecuted.

TJ’s art is like a Rorschach test for the fanbase. Everybody sees something different when they look at it. Some art is straightforward; it’s like “Hey, look at this cute pony” or “Hey, look at this edgelord OC.” But with TJ you can interpret his art on many different levels, and I think that’s one of the things that makes it so awesome. With relatively simple doodles he manages to stir up rather strong feelings in people.
