Description

“I was watching some Ponies some hours after seeing Solo on the big screen, when the thought approached me: “With her classic sense of style and social grace, Rarity would be a good Qi’ra”. And then I ended up assigning most of the cast and loving all the ideas so much I doodled them on paper and then began drawing them digitally! I really had a ball with this one. First major MLP-related project in a while and it turned out great! The shading could’ve been more detailed, maybe, but I decided not to worry so much about it that I’d burn myself out. As for the reasons behind my casting decisions… I wanted a pilot-like pone for Han, and Soarin’ not only made sense, but it fit the title perfectly. I figured pretty early on that Fluttershy’s bear Harry should be Chewbacca, for obvious reasons. I wanted an older, slightly-scoundrely character for Beckett, and decided Wind Rider would work well (and he might be my favorite drawing in the whole piece). Limestone Pie’s grumpy disposition suited L3-37 well. I almost cast Discord as Lando, but then I remembered there’s nopony quite as smooth and sophisticated than Zephyr Breeze! Finally, Spitfire got to be Val on account of their shared no-nonsense-ness. I do have some other casting ideas, but I’ll save that for another drawing. Anyway I really had so so much fun with this, There’s something irresistible to me about ponies cosplaying Star Wars charries! Probably why I also did Trixie as General Grievous, Twilight as Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Zecora as Captain Phasma…

Soarin, Rarity, Harry, Wind Rider, Limestone Pie, Zephyr Breeze, and Spitfire belong to Hasbro. Elements of Star Wars belong to Lucasfilm/Disney. The drawing and the parody concepts here belong to me. Please keep the comments kind and free of spoilers!”

I actually really liked TFA (Hell even IHE loved it apparently) but my main problem with it was that it was so similar to A New Hope that it was almost ludicrous.

I mean while Rouge One didn’t have the most original script (To be honest it was kind of a rip off of Halo Reach in a way) nor was the movie really necessary but at least it tried to have an original plot in Star Wars.

I also did enjoy The Last Jedi (Yea I’m probably going to get #*%¥ for this) but yea I can see why people hate it.

@Chuy Ryu

I didn’t like TFA much ether, but it set up interesting possibilities, TLJ kinda blew those up so the director and writers could go “AREN’T YOUR EXPECTATIONS SUBVERTED!” while at the same time basically shitting on Poe endlessly, putting Finn through a rehash of his arc in TFA and turns Rey into a character who is somehow the best at everything yet has little effect on the plot beyond being reactive.

Also no other Star Wars movie waste like a third of it’s run time on a subplot that leads to basically nothing.

As for the Prequels iv always mostly enjoyed them despite their flaws, expect AOTC other than Obi-Wan’s plot. They certainly felt more like a living universe than the ST has.

>starfags after the last jedi

REEEEE!!! disney ruined star wars! now the prequels are better! my childhood is ruined!!!!
Mojo

But yeah in all seriousness these one offs have been far better than the ST in pretty much every way. It’s a shame Solo didn’t do well, there’s lots of reasons for that but one of them I have to blame Disney for is releasing it packed between blockbuster after blockbuster, should of waited till Fall/Winter or something.

It may survive, but disney still ruined it. I went to see TLJ, and it was a shit-show. Hated it. SWEU > Disney and their bullshit.

My Little Pony - 1992 Edition

Go ahead. Make my day.
The Disney Star Wars movies actually make the prequels look like a good idea hell the last jedi actually made the phantom menace look like a masterpiece by comparison.

Except kill off Solo himself, ruin the origins of his name, break him and Leia up, reduce Luke Skywalker to a cave neet that resents the past and the very teachings of the Jedi way that helped him become a better person and overcome the Emperor and Vader, and throw so many fan shoutouts with no purpose to them other than to say “Remember this? We remember this. Please like us.”

If Star Wars wants to recover, it needs a return to form or it’s going to fizzle out.
