That wasn’t my argument. Professional musicians usually have several instruments, so it’s not unreasonable that she might have some that she’s alright with having graffitied. I’m just saying @NiGHTS4life ‘s request is not necessarily against the Vinyl/Octavia ship, and just that it’s a little jarring to see on an otherwise clean image (though I agree, it would be the simplest of edits, and not worth the artist’s time).
If an SO wrote something cute on a gift, I would probably be more enamored than angry.

I have never heard of a violin being varnished with acrylic, as it would probably interfere with the body’s resonance. String instrument varnish (at least on instruments of quality) is usually some sort of organic substance, which I imagine would be prone to staining by things like lipstick. Maybe Vinyl wrote it in lipstick or something else that can easily we washed off from the acrylic coating, Maybe that’s why it already seems to be sorta coming off?
I don’t know, if someone wrote on on my $3000 violin, that would be grounds for me ending our relationship, and cellos are even more expensive.
