Does one of the Storm Ships crash landed in the swamps of New Horseleans during the climax of the movie? I agreed that the Storm King and his Storm Empire did invaded/ruled/conquered Canterlot, Ponyville, the Everfree Forest, Appleloosa, Chicoltgo, Horseolulu, New Horseleans, and the rest of Equestria during the movie.

I’m siding with the headcanon of Twilight helping her to learn how to focus it and I expect a lot of fanart and fanfics dealing with this.

At least they acknowledged the buffalos.

Her “fireworks” she uses at the end of the movie are the same energy discharge she smoked Verko with. In “Stormy Road” as a child she accidentally disintegrated an entire row of trees and nearly killed her friends. She spent weeks or months training (with Grubber hanging around) learning how to focus its destructive power. Whenever her horn starts sparking in the movie, she’s on the verge of disintegrating something. That’s why it’s intimidating.
 
She’s got plenty of magic, she just doesn’t know how to focus it properly for nondestructive tasks with a broken horn.

All three of those movie bios say the same thing: that she lost her way and her magic. ignoring the fact that she can still shoot giant balls of death from her horn, I suppose.
 
Many physical disabilities can be overcome with the right training and techniques. She had none of that while she was with the Storm King.

Absolutely. Something I immediatly saw and I’m like… wtf? The entire point of her character is to NOT have the same magic as unicorns. To get her horn and magic back was her fucking goal. What’s the point if she can use magic anyhow!?

Except the information in her character bio by the movie writers say it’s literally a physical disability preventing that…

Right, because she hit the limit of what she could do on her own. She ran away as a child with no formal magical training beyond what she learned on her own or from her parents or friends. After the accident, her magic was completely uncontrolled, and she was terrified to use it. According to the book, after encountering Grubber and the Storm King, she eventually learned to control it enough to focus its destructive power, but that’s as far as she could go alone.
 
Presumably Twilight has an entire library shelf devoted to unicorn horn damage rehabilitation and coping. This has already been shown to be a reality for some unicorns so I’m sure Equestria has therapists able to help these disabled unicorns recuperate as best they can. I mentioned this in a previous post in this thread:

There’s zero reason they couldn’t pick a sound-alike VA from their usual agency if they wanted her in the show. This happens all the time in cartoons.

Such a shame that we won’t see Tempest and the other characters from the movie anymore due to their over expensive VAs. Honestly the only hope for them to appear again is… Them having a non speaking cameo in the series finale.

That almost sounded like the A-Team intro. I would prefer if the ponies give themselves a different name, though. P-Team just sounds wrong.
