Actually, dinosaurs are also fish. And birds are dinosaurs, so they’re fish too. Everything with a backbone is fish! Even camels are fish!

Birds tend to be rather light thanks to their feathers and hallow bones. Maybe the same applies to Hippogriffs and Griffons?
Classical Hippogriffs in mythology were half Griffon so even though the MLP Hippogriffs are their own thing, I’m quite glad to see this.
