“I knew mother and her gaggle would be here tonight. I could also see some familiar faces bobbing through the crowd of Ponies. And while the ticket was expensive, I told no one that I’d be in attendance. I’m sure Twilight or Queen Luna would have sent me a ticket for free but I feared that I use them too often as a crutch.  
They all know these events make me uncomfortable but I had to attend on my own.
