It can not be avoided.
 
The first time Sci!Twi went to Equestria (EQG:“Spring Breakdown”), they were talking about many things with Princess Twilight, but just when she was about to mention some details about The Crystal Empire (that would naturally follow her to MENTION Flurry Heart), the human!RainbowDash felt a sudden impulse to look into detail a random piece of cloth in the table (of all objects spread around, precisely that one), that had the symbol of the Storm King [triggering their “new quest” & stopping the sharing of information].
 
This was actually the Tree of Harmony “sensing an incoming disturbance” in the flow of time (Sci!Twi accidentally/porpously preventing the future birth of her niece after knowing about her pony counterpart); tus setting up a complex sequence of events to “inception” the group out of this conversation at that precise moment.  
. The cutiemap sent the (almost torn) timetravel scroll of Starswirl [improved by Starlight Glimmer] from the end of S5E26 to another point in time of that future (hiding it inside the “chest” that is located under itself).  
. The Storm King never “released” his magic out of the Staff of Saccanas; it was the Tree of Harmony (after the Movie, when the staff was stored safely), combining a portal through time & dimensions so the magic would be released into the sea AFTER the human!RainbowDash ponied_up & released a magical “E.M.P.” that disabled the boat.  
-> In the original timeline she was “looking for something evil” & got distracted by some natural luminiscent algae (just like Sci!Twi sugested) instead of a symbol made by storm magic (she still goes to the island alone anyways); with the mayor difference being that Applejack manages to repair the engine & the boat never loses control [so it does not sink].

Likewise, as after just seeing the boat episode I definitely think more could have been done with such ideas.

“Where are Auntie’s wings?”

Sci-Twi: Princess Twilight, I am not her Aunt, so why you put her on my care?  
Princess Twilight: I am a duty call on last sec, Please Good care her, Plus Spike will help you!, I will be back fast as i can ones is finish(and she teleport away)  
Sci-Twi: Why me…You will help me right Spike the Dragon?  
Spike: Of course, Plus Flurry like you already, plus think this, the experience with her will help to good care your future Flurry heart in your world ones your Shining armor and Cadence will have a baby!  
Sci-Twi: Ok so what to do?  
Spike tell her all and all good well, if we do not count all the mess Flurry make.  
Princess Twilight: I am back.. I see all go well?  
Sci-Twi: Yeah, if we do not count all the mess, I hope my Future Flurry heart will NOT get Pony Up, Is will be hard to good care mostly for her Parents!  
Princess Twilight: Yeah, well you a never see the bigger mess she a done, and thanks!  
Sci-Twi: I go to my room, I am out of energy, so i can train in magic with you!  
Princess Twilight: Is Ok!

Mostly she’s worried about how to change a diaper without hands.

Cue fears of predestination, violating causality, disproving free will, etc., etc. Twilight never asked to be a paradimensional aunt.
