The fact just is that, even considering the different test, Tara is wrong in every single part. If what was being claimed were true, that means that the rest of the Canadian population is mentally retarded, because the IQ average of Canada is below the USA, which isn’t even in the top five. In fact, Canada’s average IQ is 97.5, placing it on the 25th place. I would, however, love to see Tara’s sources, I’m sure they can change my mind.
That said, the issues with those studies was, generally, that there are many very bad assumptions attached to them. Case point: the study he is likely talking about assumed everyone who hadn’t taken the test must haven’t done so because their IQ was too low rather than, say, not needing to take the test or their school simply not doing so.
@TaraCallie
What conspiracy would this one be?
Hey look everybody! A conspiracy theorist!
That sounds impressively high for someone who gets shoved through an indoctrination factory. No clearer proof of the biased nature of that ‘study’ is needed.

I know lots more mechanics, engineers, and riggers that are republican than democrat, so either they’re lazy and never feel the need to apply themselves, or the questionnaire has specifically tailored answers. Well, knowing how many are on the dole I think both, really.
Heh. Good thing their methodology was for shit in the vast majority of said studies and then the conclusion was derived from assumption held a priori rather actual results. It would have meant states like Mississippi average IQ is so low you the vast majority would have been mentally retarded, for starters, which goes to show there is a huge mistake in their methodology.
But hey, everyone knows science and statistics aren’t really buddies when politics are involved.
Kind of weird-funny, actually - I remember reading that Republicans, on average, have lower IQs than Democrats. Maybe it’s because racism/homophobia/general bigotry has been linked to those with lower IQs, and more conservatives are racist/homophobic/otherwise bigoted than liberals…
Eh… No.
Where are you getting the number that canadians are all in the top 1.8% of the population?
Can I pick “E”: all of the above?
… Not that “A” counts unless you also count “Believing in Apocalyptic Doom regardless of its happening or not” under “A”.
…Which I do…
Close? Genius is 150, and the push from 140 to 150 is a pretty difficult one to make.
The average IQ in Canada is between 130-140
As opposed to the IQ of a High School Graduate at 130-135
Say what?
…so about 115, then?
You have enough awareness to acknowledge the problem, but not enough to stop from “jokingly” raging at statements that you oppose.
Let me go laugh at that corner. Not at you, I promise.

Welcome to society! Here is your halbert hat.
Well Y2K was a real issue, but it was hilarously misinterpreted as ‘Oh no the banks will lose all of our savings and nuclear missiles will launch themselves!’. In truth, the effects were almost non-existent.
Y2K was consumer created and driven, and Revenge of the Sith was the work of a single creator with no corporate interest behind it.
