Description
Looks like Hasbro has send the C&D letters to furry Dakimakura and some artists, so no more body pillows. (of course you can print those at home)

Not into these pillow covers ether, but I disagree about copyright. No one can own an idea and trying to legislate it, is bull.
The idea of physical ownership easy, but owning an idea is not. The only way it works is by legal construct. In the end, copyright hurts us more then it help us at this point in time.
Hasbro was right legal, but not morally in my mind. There is a market for these items, people want them. Hasbro has said no, they have no right to deny people them. Copyright wasn’t about limiting the production of ideas, but increasing it by offering finical incentive to create. You clearly have a perversion of that idea here.
Um, I’m not into those pillows, no offense, and I have nothing against copyright. If we didn’t have copyright laws at all, anyone could make rip-off products off of anything much more easily, and nobody would be able to own anything they make. Also, if nobody bought legit products, or watched the show on TV, (and only bootlegged those things online, and such) then the MLP show would be cancelled.
So while copyright laws are a pain sometimes, they are understandable. (But perhaps can be quite strict at times.)
I felt Hasbro was kinda in the right to C&D, but as I said the person who claims to of reported it didn’t do it, because he cared about Hasbro, or their copyright, but did it just out of spite, because they don’t like the artist for some reason.
Oh, I’m NOT defending Hasbro. I hate copyright, and I hate C&D bullshit. Just saying IMO some of artist were asking for it given their attitudes.
Want my advice? If you were going to buy one of these, put your money towards a large donation to the EFF. Wont save this lot, but might save the next bandwagon you want to be part of.
That goes without saying, but some of the usual sort of shit she got wasn’t completely undeserved. Not going to go into it here, though.
Oh?
But those death threats were unnecessary.
You just didn’t pay attention to what she is like.
This fandom is literally one of those “survival of the fittest” type of fandoms.
I’ve always wondered what the hate towards Bluntwhiskey was all about. Back when she frequents this site, I saw her getting pounded by haters for “censoring” her previews. I literally found myself having to back her up at one instance.
Well, I wouldn’t assume she makes things up, as I don’t know her well, and I usually try not to judge people I hardly know… But admittedly, some people have exaggerated the trolling they got from bronies before, when trying to make the brony fandom look bad before in their “leaving the fandom,” or “I hate the brony fandom” rants, so who knows?
Still, I wouldn’t take it to lightly as whoever had these vendettas before has made it no secret they’ve been doing it out of spite, and such, and don’t like her. Said person was practically bragging about helping cause the C&D, So I wouldn’t completely write-off what BluntWhiskey/Kayla-Na says.
Death Threats on the internet (for the most part) are either A: Made up for sympathy, or B: Have no actual “threat” to them.
Maybe so, but sense the people who reported them, just did them out of spite, rather then “caring about Hasbro’s properties,” it’s kinda hard to get behind that. I mean, I admit the pillows were creepy/perv’y, and infringing, and making money off ripping off Hasbro, but still some of the spite went to far…
Some of the heat Bluntwhisky/Kayla-Na got, including actual death threats (even some directed at her husband) is definitely going to far.
Personally, I think they got what they deserved. Given how so many of them acted when people talked about copying drawings that they also copyed. News flash, they didn’t own these characters to begin with!
Bluntwhiskey again, as 4chan dislikes her greatly for some reason or other.
Which artist is it?
We haven’t heard that before or anything.
Someone made it personal and decided it was a good idea to let the company know rather than leaving it alone or, if they had kids, blocked it so they wouldn’t know.
What’s worse. The artist received some ‘death threats’ from another person relating to this and decided not to draw anymore pony stuff.
Danger.
Well, except Bluntwhiskey’s work. She’s officially done with the pony fandom apparently.
(But yet again this is This fandom so I’m sure people will somehow start Something Over this development0
