Wait, I’m confused… I was going to make an SFM picture of the Mane six posing… is that not okay anymore? I saw other people doing it so I assumed it counted but I just reread the first post and now I’m confused  
I’m just going to assume it counts and do it later today or tomorrow

Well, if you do the mane 6 as they are at the end of season 9, that would probably count.

Sunset being undeniably canon is truly the ultimate pony dream and you can’t change my mind.

I was so happy when they did that

I’m glad they waited until the background of the Final Episode to do it; that way the people who want full integration between FIM and EqG can point to it as confirmation the two shared the same continuity all along and the show was just focusing on the Equestria side of the story, and those who want to keep FIM and EqG separate can assume that in FIM’s continuity Sunset was just another student at the SFGU who never went rogue.
 
We made it all the way to the end of FIM without seeing any apes in Horse World, which is all I was really hoping for.

As long as all those dimensional portals in FIM only point one way, it’s still easy enough to write off as a separate continuity where the events of EqG don’t happen in FIM; even Flash Pegasentry popping up occasionally is just the FIM-verse version of High School Flash. The Sirens were still a nice touch for the full integration side, though; it was good to see a confirmation that they really were as huge in person as their magic hologram forms had been.
 
It’s actually kinda impressive how well FIM managed to thread the needle when it comes to being able to see it both ways, it meant that fans of both can take for granted that they’re the same thing but fans of one or the other aren’t required to follow both to keep up with either. EqG has always only shown whatever snippets of Equestria were necessary to tell its Human World stories.
