Best Drawing Tablet? (Not Wacom, sadly)

Wanted to post regarding the best drawing tablet for PC. Wacom has, unfortunately, lost its use. The tablet I’m currently using is rarely used (because I’m generally unconfident in drawing stuff, I know), and when I do use it, it stops recognizing the pen and I have to restart it altogether just to get it to work again, only for it to stop working after a few days. And their drivers are broken and their customer support is nonexistent (their answers usually come as generic).
 
I read that Huion does a better job though I wonder if there are any drawing tablets that are completely reliable and doesn’t just stop working after a few days of not using it. And before you ask, yes my tablet is still in good condition. It just randomly stops working at times because it won’t recognize the pen at all. If there’s any tablets that can do a better job than Wacom (no offense to Wacom users), feel free to post.

iPad Pro + Apple Pencil?
 
A lot of people I know are going that route. One of my friends even jokes about using his Cintiq 13hd as an iPad stand these days.
 
Otherwise, newer XP Pen tablets seem to have good reviews.

I have a Cintiq Pro 24 and I have to use the previous driver version because the new one completely broke the “clicks” and made it impossible to use menus, so yeah, yikes wacom…

What about Huion tablets? What are your thoughts?
 
And yeah, Wacom is a lost cause.

Never used Huion and wouldn’t trade my Cintiq for anything. While Wacom’s software team and support are pure cancer, their devices are top notch. I’m rather biased though, so please look into other options and other people’s opinions, before listening to mine.

Their devices are great, though once they suddenly stop working, no matter the condition, then it becomes a hassle. Not only that, their drivers are broken too.

I’d have to disagree with your assessment of Wacom’s support. I was having a really specific issue with my six year old Intuos tablet, and they kept on it until they found the cause, which ended up being a glitch with the RGB software for my video card interfering with Wacom’s driver.

I had an issue with my $3000 less than a year old device, and after a few days wacom replied with “well i tried it on our lab device and it worked fine, so it’s clearly not an issue” ticket closed

My Cintiq 12WX worked flawlessly around 10 years but my 12 year old laptop outdated totally and i replaced them with Mobile Studio PRO 13. I remember one time was issue with driver but i searched older driver back and restarted it, while after that updated with newest driver without issues. I havent tested it for 2 years but i believe my 12WX are still in working order. I set it up soon for my childern.  
With Mobile Studio was a bigger mesh caused by fault of mine, i switched at driver updating something to Cintiq24 settings etc, restoring the settings and making device back to order was a big braintwist.  
With wacom hardware i havenot any problems.

I freaking LOVE my iPad pro + Apple pencil. When I tried them out at the store I was so flabbergasted by how GOOD they feel together that I actually started laughing and couldn’t stop. It’s like we finally invented a computer as good as pencil and paper.
 
Mostly I use Sketches Pro and Procreate (here’s an intro to ProCreate), but I’m looking forward to “Adobe Fresco (aka “Project Gemini). It looks almost like what FreeHand used to do, before Adobe bought Aldus.
 
That said, I am picking up either a Huion GT-191 KAMVAS or a XP-PEN Artist15.6 Pro this weekend, because I miss not being able to use PhotoShop when I want it, and have some stuff that’s just easier to do on a desktop.
 
( also, this is kind of a useful set of reviews of alternatives to Wacoms, if anyone is looking for what other people think about other things )

Is the Huion any better than Wacom? Just wondering is all. I used the iPad for drawing before though it felt less consistent.
