Are there ANY bronies who liked the movie as much as I did?

When I first saw the pony movie, I really enjoyed it. It’s probably my favorite thing to come out of the franchise. It reminded me of a lot of older animated films, and it felt good to see a new 2D-animated film in theaters after missing out on The Princess and the Frog.
 
But on every brony site I see, whether it’s Equestria Daily, Derpibooru, deviantART, Reddit, and YouTube, other bronies’ opinion on it varies from “mediocre” to “terrible”. And whenever I try to defend it, I get shot down. I swear, there’s more people who liked the Star Wars prequels than this movie!
 
Is there ANYONE here who thought this movie was legitimately good?

I found the movie extremely entertaining - it reminded me of “Treasure Planet” in a lot of ways. I thought the writing was very good, and I’m glad that they took the opportunity of a larger budget and a possibly older market to do new things with the characters, like pushing Twilight to the edge and letting us see that Pinkie Pie can be serious. Good songs, too, and really good production values.
 
I went to see it in the theaters with friends twice, and both viewings were pretty packed. I also bought a copy as soon as it was available, and have watched it a couple times since.
 
I haven’t seen a lot of people calling it “terrible” or having bad opinions of it - maybe you’re just overly sensitive to criticism of things. Try paying less attention to the handful of people who are entertained by not liking things.

Quite a few people, you just haven’t noticed because you’re only cherrypicking the people who didn’t like it and then claiming that they’re the ones who are correct despite you supposedly liking it yourself.

I submitted a pony soapbox on Equestria Daily saying that the movie would become a cult classic in the future, as many animated films started out poorly-received, and gained followings later on. I thought the film was creative enough to gain a following in the future.
 
The TOP COMMENTS were saying that the film was too generic and poorly-written to become a cult classic in the future. The TOP COMMENTS. These were not a vocal minority, otherwise they wouldn’t have gotten so many upvotes.
 
Just this morning, on the MLP subreddit (supposedly the most positive brony community on the internet), I submitted a post defending a lot of the complaints people had with the movie. The post ending up getting a lot of downvotes.
 
I did what you guys keep telling me to do. I acted positive and talked about what I liked, but I got shot down anyway.

Have you considered that maybe people are downvoting how you approach life and your persistent clamoring for group approval, and not the movie itself?
 
I loved the movie. I have hated nearly every statement you have made about your desperate attempts to win approval.

No, I don’t. I don’t know why you care so much about what other people think, or go to such enormous effort to try to get others to hate the show with you. I mean - look at the kind of stuff you create and post.
 

 
Anyone who hates the show can put their feet up and rest - you’re doing all their work for them.
 
It doesn’t matter that the vast majority of the people here love the show - you just keep insisting that everyone here is an ass-kissing Hasdrone if they say that they like the show.
 
Maybe you need to take your own advice.
