Eh, I’m still watching the “Bohemian Rhapsody” movie, cause as Hollywood taught us: Most of its biopics are fabricated bullshit and poorly researched just for the mainstream audience.

Since the Sam Raimi Spider-Man movies are becoming a meme now, friendly reminder that Stone Temple Pilots wrote a song for the soundtrack of the first movie that was never used.
 
God, imagine if this were used in that movie instead of that Nickeback song.

I keep forgetting to say that last Friday (12th), I went to see Kamelot in London & they were brilliant, i’d say just as good as they were when I say them at Bloodstock.

Can anybody point me in the direction of some good metal/heavy rock released this year?

After watching the music video for “Runaway Train” by Soul Asylum, it got me thinking, have the people shown in that video ever been found? That was in 1993, surely at least SOME of them have been found, including that baby in the end. I mean, who the fuck kidnaps a baby from their own mother? Adopt one if you want one so badly!

The Manticora album is pretty great, for one.

I’m hoping The Weeknd releases more music soon, he’s one of my favorite R&B artists and one of my favorite artists from this decade.

I personally think Visigoth’s new album is the best heavy/power metal album from this year.

This isn’t funny but I can’t not laugh at it.

Yeah, true story. Eric Clapton wrote “Bell Bottom Blues” and “Layla” about his relationship with Pattie Boyd, the then-Mrs. George Harrison. And somehow, George and Eric stayed good enough friends after that that George was Eric’s best man at Eric’s wedding to Pattie.

Oh, interesting that you should bring up “Rocket Queen.” That’s another case of musicians’ infidelity… namely, GNR drummer Steven Adler’s girlfriend Adriana Smith had consensual sex with Axl Rose in the vocal booth, and Axl recorded the audio from it and put it on the album.
