Well, I wanted Rayla and Callum to hook up, but I was a little iffy on them hooking up this early in the show, and I was afraid their romance would be handled like Aang and Katara in the Avatar comics, where all their dialogue turns into this really needlessly romantic crap, like calling each other “sweetie” and all that. However, what I love about this scene on the mountain is that when it shows them still joking around with each other, and she pushes him and they snicker.. they’re behaving exactly the same way they did before, when they were just friends. They still maintain that lovable dynamic of the awkward best friends who tease each other but also come to each other as emotional support. The only thing different is that there’s now more kissing. And I’m all for relationships like that.
