Growing up in the 90s, most of these gadgets listed here in films and other media were featured as “Forefront” and “futuristic”. Remember when EMAILS were the shit? Remember those little Pager devices? Little handheld devices that send texts to your friends and family and nothing else was soooo “state of the art!”.
 
It feels like hilarity in hindsight.

Also, my parents repeatedly kept me away from everything they deemed as “junk foods” when I was a kid. I missed out on ALOT!

Only one of those I ever ate was Dunkaroos and in Canadian so yeah. I dont have any interest in eating them anymore but holy fuck the nostalgia.

90s snacks were vibrant.
 
 
Now the food scene is far too obsessed with “health conscience”, either discontinuing or neutering existing snacks in the name of “health”.  
Snacks are not mean’t to be an essential source of nutrients. They are mean’t to be eaten for pleasure.

So here’s something that I thought of, since it’s October and it’s the spooky month. (_°3°)
 
When you Trick-or-Treated, what was the candy you liked to get?
 
For me, anything non-peanut or peanut butter. Not that I didn’t like it, it’s just my sister made be give ever just about everything in all her peanut stuff, because of an allergy. So a Hershey or Crunch bar was a rare treat.

I remember a time when even five large boxes of candies weren’t enough for the amount of trick or treaters there were back when I was in elementary school.
 
Nowadays, there’s barely any enthusiasm for the holiday.

I remember a little fear was good for you. It thought you. “Yeah, in the moment it felt like death, but you’re fine.”
 
I wonder how many places do haunted houses still? I remember one guy on the same neighborhood my Grandma on my mother’s side turned his house into a mini haunted house and it wasn’t bad. You couldn’t do that nowadays.

Elaborate custom Halloween and Christmas decorations used to be sort of like a tourist attraction in my town during those holidays. Back then people really poured their hearts and enthusiasm into landscaping for their holidays.
 
Nowadays, people either don’t bother decorating or buy generic and cheap Made in China cobwebs and obnoxious lawn inflatables.

You guys would love my old neighborhood in Hackensack, New Jersey. They’re really in the spirit of Halloween, complete with well-done decorations (not cheap shit either) and rows and rows of jack-o-lanterns with all sorts of culture icons; there’s even one with Twilight Sparkle. They go all out~
