The fact that fandoms took a term used to describe being an obsessive fan of something to the point of violence, and turned it into a good thing, honestly bothers me more than it should. Being a “Stan” of something is not something that anyone should aspire to be. Yet Stan culture and behavior is celebrated on sites like Twitter and Tumblr.
 
K-pop Stans are some of the worst, though Beyonce Stans and 21 Pilots Stans are up there.

Those sites have large amount of idiots. I mean nearly every site does…but those especially!

It comes off as a lot of rabid Marvel fans are actively looking for “stupid Avatar Fanboys” so they can “own XDD” them once Endgame Surpasses Avatar
 
Since there aren’t any actuaĺ Avatar “fanboys” or Fandom in the Modern sense they come off as manchildren who base their entire identity and self worth on “Fanbase wars” and cannot live without it

I’m more talking about stuff I’ve seen on Twitter. Mostly from people who still suffer the delusion about a “Justice League Snyder Cut” existing (even though most of Snyder’s script either wasn’t filmed or only exists in a rough, unfinished cut).

I don’t like RWBY.

Eh, I disagreed with that video, but I still didn’t really care for the series.

I found Get out to be really overrated. And I say that as someone who really liked the film. It’s not scary, I don’t get it.

Overrated is a strong word.

I’m watching Season 2 of Luke Cage at the moment, and Bushmaster feels like a similar idea pulled off a lot better.
