For games, hardcore players always seem to suck the fun out of it.
 
Like, I don’t care about the game meta or why I should only stick to using these things and such and such. I want to have fun, I don’t give a shit about the meta game or anything.

Here’s my policy with people: I don’t care if you’re black, white, Latino, Asian, Muslim, Christian, Jewish, Jehovah’s Witness, Quaker, Buddhist, Hindu, atheist, gay, straight, lesbian, bi, transgender, asexual, demisexual, metrosexual, or whatever.

Which reminds me: People, if someone calls you by the wrong gender or pronounces your name incorrectly, then calmly correct them so they avoid doing so in the future. It is likely that they did it by accident and will probably not make that mistake again if you correct them.
 
See, I think it’s healthy to assume that people are, by nature, idiots. Well-intentioned, yes, but idiots. Hell, even I’m an idiot. I’ll be the first one to admit that. Now, this may seem like a strange way of thinking, but really, which seems better: assuming that most people are good-natured idiots, or assuming that they’re all assholes who are intentionally getting your name/gender wrong just to be bigoted pricks?

It really feels like I’m repeating myself… but this seems to be the era we live in. And it sucks because I’m actually more left-leaning than right-leaning, but these overly offended pricks give our cause a bad name. Hence why I’ve come up with my principle that man is “the good-natured idiot.”

People have always incorrectly pronounced my name, I’ve grown to get used to it, I mean, it’s not hard to pronounce but it happens.  
My basic assumption with everyone is that they’re an idiot, than I’ll distinguish them afterwards if I ever have the chance to associate with them, then it’s good-natured idiot, bigoted idiot, cool dude.

Same. The point is that I don’t go into meeting everybody assuming that they’re all assholes. I just go in assuming that they’re good-natured idiots and then determine later how much of assholes they really are.

The thing is, there is still racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, and other forms of bigotry present in the world, and yes, it is our duty to point them out. The problem is that when people start making blanket statements like “Everything is racist, sexist, homophobic, and transphobic,” or “All white people are racist, all men are sexist, all straight people are homophobic, and all cis people are transphobic,” people are going to be desensitized to these false claims and nobody will take them seriously anymore.

This is the problem with some people, especially extremists, they think if you have any logical reasoning on being more in the middle or happen to have a logical argument for one thing versus another, you’re automatically an enemy and all those labels are shot at you. The bigger issue is how mainstream both things are, SJW and anti, the more it’s shot out and repeated, the more people will actually believe in it, they are literally making more and more extremists by day.

Just saw the test results for Stats, just fucking great. Besides the fact I believe I’m an idiot, now I have to wonder if it’s better dropping the course now, or hoping I don’t slip next time so that my grade’s at least a 70 for this class. Not to mention I still have two midterms the following week and I have zero motivation to actually study. I have no idea how well Biochem and Microbiology will be for me, I even had to drop biochem last semester because I felt like I couldn’t do it. God my head hurts now.

I’m beginning to wonder if the invention of society was humanity’s biggest mistake…

Pretty much. The term “Nazi” gets thrown around a lot these days, and it makes me wonder if everyone has just forgotten about Godwin’s Law. (The Internet rule that says the first person to call someone a Nazi or compare them to Hitler automatically loses the argument.) And there are more than just extremists on each side.
 
Also, super sorry to hear about your Stats test results. :( I struggle in that class, too, if it makes you feel any better.

Now I’m just pissed considering I pretty much wasted my break week doing nothing basically. I don’t understand why they would put the break week BEFORE the midterms. It’s not a goddamn break, even if I did do nothing that stress of knowing I have tests right after isn’t making me feel relieved.
