Faithful servant of the God Emperor reporting in, may he bless this thread and lead it to glory.
Real talk though, End Times better bring some real movement to the universe, because the overall narrative has stalled of late…among other things its done.
Fair point, especially with the current writing team…. I still can’t get over what the did with the Necrons and ‘Nids.
Oh yes, lets take these terrifying engines of destruction and try and humanize them…Space robot zombies and alien bug monsters don’t need to be humanized, they’re more interesting left as they are.
Never got into Warhammer fantasy, which is odd because I normally like swords and sorcery stuff more than sci-fi.
You know, it’s good to see Games Workshop letting others make games on the licenses that aren’t Relic…too bad it took them like 15 years to start doing it. Granted, if they had let people do that, Starcraft wouldn’t exist… Make of that what you will.
I don’t actually play the table tops, I actually got into 40k from the books, then the Dawn of War games.
Dawn of War II. I prefer smaller, customizable squads to the more “death-ball” rts style of the first game. The first game and most of it’s expansions were still awesome. Winter Assault was kinda meh…and Soulstorm might take the cake for the worst dialogue in Warhammer history.
@Zincy
I stuck with the Imperial Guard in Winter Assault, Dark Crusade, and Soulstorm. At least the IG weren’t up their own ass plus Vance Motherfucking Stubbs and Genearl Sturnn!
I rolled IG first go, rolled with the Eldar after that.
None of the DoW games have any of my favorite chapters in them, Raven and Angels are ok, better than the Smurfs, but I’d like to roll with the Wolves or Salamanders.
It goes to show how rich the 40k Universe is when it started out as a simple tabletop game then grew to spawn multiple books, games, and other factions!
OK so here is my question since there were loyalists among them who did return to help during the heresy could there be Thousand Sons Successor chapters?
@Thanotos Omega
It is hinted that the Bluhd Rehvehns (blood ravens) are a successor chapter to the thousand suns, what with their high amount of psychers and what not.
