I never got that. Maybe it’s just my own experiences, but I will NEVER understand the romanticization of abuse. If you think about it, it’s actually really misogynistic, because people don’t ship abusive male characters with female characters (gay ships and fetish-oriented “romance” like Fifty Shades Of Grey aside).
