I believe I know why this happens. Most companies are not run by people who are a fan of whatever the medium is, they are run by lawyers and accountants who do not understand the idea of someone making animations or whatever just for fun. They see these free products as competing with their official content.
 
This is the logic of publishers hostile to mods. They think “if people are allowed to just make new content on their own then they won’t buy our fucking bullshit re-skins!”

The sad thing about this is that they’re missing out on huge potential. Imagine if instead of the ios mlp game that was made hasbro hired Mane6 to make them a video game instead?
 
 
Other companies do in fact do stuff like this (cough) valve encouraging black mesa (cough) and guess what? The games are good games.

He acts like a ten-year old despite being only two years younger than me and everyone just eats it up.
 
And when I get annoyed at his antics, I’m just expected to tune it out with everyone else.
 
And I don’t give a damn who you are, or what you’ve done, that doesn’t work on anything.
 
Which is kind of the response to everything I say and think.
 
Being ignored or put down as just whining, perhaps even being seem as some kind of comedic act at worst.

The social side of society really annoys me.  
When I go on twitter, the biggest hashtags are all about bullshit that really doesn’t need attention.  
With all this shit going on in Syria, Ukraine and so forth, you’d think that would be on people’s minds. Instead, it’s celebrity crap that’s seemingly more important.
 
If I could somehow meet a physical form of my whole generation, I’d shake it’s hand with one hand and punch it in the balls with the other.

FIFA is horseshit to listen to.  
I’m serious, I’m in a call with some close friends and all they fucking talk about is FIFA 14 and it’s fucking Ultimate Team.  
All they do is buy packs (VIRTUAL PLAYERS) who they then put in a virtual team and kick a virtual ball about a virtual field! I wanted to play Civilization 5 with them but nooooo, they have to unpack their fucking players!  
I wouldn’t mind so much if they actually played football in real life, but fuck know they wouldn’t in real life! Oh no, it’s not as fun!  
What’s the point?! If you want to play a game, play a game that won’t need you spend money to succeed at and one that will give you FUCKING ENJOYMENT IN PLAYING!!!

My younger brother has experienced both sex and drugs before me and that depresses me.

I hate my friend for constantly insulting me, without realizing the impact of her words, or the fact that she is insulting me.  
I hate myself more tho, cuz i dont have the backbone for telling her this, because i fear i will explode on her face for all the bullshit she said to me.

I’d advise you to practice what you want to say in a mirror, and well… even if you do explode in her face regardless there are two circumstances: either she will be shocked into realizing that she is in fact hurting you, or she’ll explode equally and tell you to fuck off in which case its time to ask yourself if she’s really your friend and whether or not you need someone like that in your life.
 
My advice is to pull her aside and talk to her about this/explode in her face. Do not go into a hot LZ by which I mean not while you’re still offended by an something she said.

I was hoping the scapegoating of Creepypastas had come to a close, but nope, the media talking heads decided to keep the shit train rolling, and the boot-licking sycophants that make up their inane viewer base are going to keep eating it up. However we get to add another layer to the shit cake, as even the authorities are citing this as the latest in a “string of Slenderman inspired crimes”.
 
Is this where we’re at now? Is this where we go from here…
 
Shit, I learned in PSY 101, “correlation does not imply causation” just because some kid liked creepypastas doesn’t mean it’s what drove her to burn her bloody house down. I guess Video Games and Heavy Metal Music aren’t hot topics anymore. Oh, and don’t get me started on the fundies thinking creepypastas are the work of the devil, they need to go back to thinking D&D will give their kids magical Satan powers…

My personal favorite Satanic Panic thing was one from grade school (I spent k-6 at a private christian school) when they became convinced that Pokemon was totes Satanic and banned us kids from collecting or bringing the cards to school.
 
I’ve reached the point where this dumb shit only makes me laugh. These dickless fucks are fighting a losing war and desperately trying to find something to galvanize the “silent majority” into action all while they become increasingly irrelevant in the world.
 
The 24 hour news assholes are even more contemptible, desperate attention leaches that will latch onto anyfuckingthing that gets people to tweet or whatever about them.

The problem is that “traditional media” is still largely controlled by a pre-Internet generation and that the generation that is replacing them are SJWs.
 
We’re basically moving from one group where the Internet is just some mysterious bogeyman to another one where it’s a hive of scum and villainy being liberated by “great” people.

My deepest regret is that I grew up with a head full of fundie horse shit so I probably would have unjustifiably hassled you then. Fortunately I’m well past that now, but there are a lot of things I said as teenager that shame me deeply.

I am serious about not letting these dumbfucks worry you. For all the noise they make we really only have to worry when they start trying to legislate shit, in which case we do have a moral duty to point out that they are freedom hating fuckwits who masquerade behind concern to push their bullshit agendas, and that the 24 hour news stations are fucking useless parasites and in their heart of hearts they all know they’re just making the world a worse place to live.

They’ll cling on, so long as there is a whole there is always, inevitably, a fringe. I doubt they’ll ever fall into complete obscurity, and we’ll always have to be vigilant to keep them at bay. The more progressive, “love and peace” Christians will also inevitably stratify down fundamental and reformist lines, that is the nature of Abrahmic faiths, and the cycle will repeat itself.
 
What worries me most is that they’re clearly sensing that they’re losing power. Remember what happens when you back an animal into a corner…
