Banned From Equestria Speedrun

Okey folks, here are the rules for this trainwrek of a meme speedrun:
 
First of all, just a couple of rules: If you wanna speed-up the video-proof of the run for size and uploading time sake, you can do it, just make a link to see it on full lengt.  
Second: As with normal speedruns, a stopwatch is needed to track the time, the clock starts when the first black-screen is shown after clicking start and stops with the last black-screen after getting the third pony, since theres nothing left to do
 
Now let’s dissect the game and their multiple categories it could be speedrunned and the main that are counted:
 
ManeSix%: This is the one that needs almost no explanation, you go and get the mane six in the less time possible, the order is irrelevant since it’s up to the runner to decide the course of action, there’s no need to obtain any of the More Bullshit Mode scenes
 
Background%: In this categorie, the goal is to obtain all the background ponies avialable, Like Derpy, Vinyl, Trixie, Zecora, Celestia and Luna; the only rule here is to not obtain Trixie twice, and same as the last categorie, the more bullshit mode isn’t necessary
 
AnyPony%: The AnyPony% is kinda like a 100% run, since in this categorie you need to unlock all the More Bullshit Mode,Obtain all the Items, and get the Extra Scene with Spike and Rarity, and same as the Background% Getting Trixie twice is forbidden.
 
Miscellaneous Since this game also can be beaten in alternative ways, here’s the other categories that can be runned: Death% like the name says, this run aims to die the fastest, Cuck% in this one you go to the scarecrown all 3 days and nights, VirginBreaker% in this one you just get one pony and wait in the scarecrow the remaining time, any other categorie is valid, just name it and post it xd
 
Questions can be asked and answered here in this thread. Right now, there’s no “official leaderboard” yet, but it can be made and updated regulary

How is this game playable now after flash player shutdown?

Welp,with my limited knowledge of Android programming i dissected and discovered that within the 1.6 Android Port there’s a SWF containing the game, the only problem is that you can’t run it, and analyzing the code i also noticed that the APK is outdated for modern a Android devices
 
If anyone owns a pair of thigh high stripped socks, and knows anything regarding APK development and wishes to help revive the best version of this game, I’ll be more than happy to provide any information i already know about

The 1.6 was an Android exclusive version with tons of tweks and “new” content that made the game extremely better, sadly after dissecting the app and learning to code i noticed that now its impossible to save the SWF file within the APK, this due to some bullshit of Adobe Air security measures

yep, as i feared, it’s the same archive i saved from the apk, it doesn’t even start  
Edit: Tested on pc and my phone btw, it’s exactly the same SWF i extracted from the APK

Sadly it’s not as easy as changing the .apk into .zip and extracting it. I never became a flash developer or did anything with .swf files besides playing them so I won’t be much help for this sadly. If its supposed to work on older versions of android you could maybe try using an older model emulator. (Don’t use android much so can’t name any specific versions here, you’ll just have to look around.)

It’s not an issue of we can’t use flash player, you can download standalone flash players to play .swf files from your computer. There’s also flash recreations in the works for browsers like ruffle. The issue we have here if that the .swf file isn’t playing correctly in our flash players so we would either have to edit the .swf file itself or attempt playing it on whatever device it was made to run on.

It’s also hard af to find any standalone players for mobile. Just about every app, third party or not, is glitched, too old, or a scam.

Ah, I don’t use mobile for anything besides calls and sometimes notes. Assuming the original .apk file functions fine on older android devices using an emulator could be an option for pc, mobile is out of luck there unless you can somehow get android emulators on there which I doubt exist. Possible bypass for that could be if you get a jailbroken device and get an unofficial emulator going, but going to that extent just for the 1.6 release isn’t really worth it.

Alright, good rules. I’m gonna post my mane6% run in a bit, though two suggestions for more categories:  
-spike%: you get Spike in the final night instead of fluttershy/rarity  
-best%: Getting a pony every day and night without any bonuses. aka, how fast can the game be completed with the best ending?
 
Also, after the last black screen, there’s a BIT of text that can be skipped, though that’s still a good ending point, I suppose. I’ll do a time with your rules but we can change it to the final fade-out before the ending screen if you like.

I got a 6:00.08. That’s with your rules, with mine (taking the time at the end credits) it’s 6:33.73. There’s a pretty impressive luna% speedrun in xvideos, gonna try beating it again next (I beat it a while ago but the video contains my voice so yeah).
 
Gonna stick to this forum and smutty horse for my runs, because xvideos takes longer to process.

to prevent spamming this forum I’m gonna just post all of my other PBs in this post (editing as time goes along) unless someone else posts. For reference to the times below, they are all done with the original forum rules, though I’m willing to do new runs for new rules. I’m uploading my runs to smutty.horse, only because I forgot that dropbox exists. Tried google drive, didn’t work for some reason (file is too large, maybe?).

While I’m here, I might as well mention that I made a google doc like a year ago, though it’s very cryptic because I’m terrible at writing notes. It also contains some of my older PBs.
 
I also realize that a lot of these runs might not be “legit” because I stopped the timer too soon. Just need clearer rules I guess? idk.

The time stopping at the last fadeout it’s ideal bcs there’s nothing to do afterwards
 
Everything else, really good runs tho everything can be improved, there’s a hiden 50 bits on Applejack’s three so you skip the applebucking in the fist day and get the ticket faster, and if am correctly, the fastest route to get to zecora’s hut its Right, down, down, down, left, right  
And on luna’s mini game, once you destroy her shield, just spamclick her so she dies faster, since it isn’t a turn-based fight you can attack multiple times, overall I think that’s all the notes i have and i apply on my runs, I’m gonna get back into playing now that i saw some interest into this
 
Any other question just ask, i wrote a guide on the game like 4 or 5 years ago so if there’s any other question regarding routing and stuff, just ask
 
For my PBs on mane6 and background i usually go TS, RD, PP, Rar, AJ, FS  
And Derp, DJ, Trix, Z, Celes, Luna
 
I would like if a general improved route can be theorized so a time goal can be established, and on a fun note, someone made a TAS of this, i haven’t tried it yet mainly because i don’t know how, but if someone figures it out a time goal can be archived

I’d disagree, since death% is a thing. There’s a LOT of text to skip for that category, and it doesn’t stop (really) until the end credits screen. It would be more consistent across all of the categories (which is better for speedrunning). There’s also like two blocks of text to skip in mane6%, which yeah isn’t much but consistency would be better IMO.
 

 
Thanks! I actually learned the hidden 50 bits thing by watching one of your runs - I use it in my “Another mane6% record/PB” in the loooong post of my runs. I didn’t know the fast Zecora route, though!
 

 
I actually do that in my luna% run, the xvideos that I shared isn’t my run lmao. I did hesitate during both my background% and luna% runs, though.

That’s true for mane6%, but IMO background%’s route is somewhat arbitrary because at the start of every day and night you are taken to the same place.
 

 
Yeah, a generalized route would be nice, though it seems kind of easy to figure out given how small the game is. And the TAS thing is hilarious and amazing, do you know where it is?

Rainbow Dash’s race minigame and Applejack’s sex minigame are both soooo slow, I don’t know which is the fastest scene for Applejack or if they’re all the same. I would love to see a sub-6 mane6% but idk if it’s possible, though we don’t have a TAS so idk.

Welp i can’t compete with that BUT, after a while without playing, i can say this didn’t go as bad as I expected, the rainbow dash mini-game it’s my worst nightmare due to being soo slow, but i somehow got better at applebucking, managing to consistently get to the barn with just one round, and with AJ’s sex scenes, 3 and 4 fill the bar at the same speed, but i personally prefer 3 lmao
 
The only thing that slows me down it’s the RD minigame, everything else i think it’s just refining my movement
 
I’m really embarrassed to say this but… i forgot multiple times the dialog three of Fluttershy and ended up getting the kiss instead xd

OH! I didn’t know you were playing the android version. And I didn’t even know you COULD go to Applejack’s barn in one sitting, that’s some amazing knowledge! Gonna do another run and post my results.
 
Also, don’t worry about failing runs, it’s kind of a thing that runners do sometimes (especially with really hard tricks).

It’s not the android version per se, I’m using a flashplayer app so i can run the SWF, i tried reviving the revamped Android version but i hit a dead end
 
And going to the barn in one sitting its possible even on mouse, just click faster till you get 80 points (i guess, if not, it’s 70)
