I posted this on the furbooru forums. No reply after a month of time. I figured I try here.
How often do you clean and fix your special plushies? < Details?
I persiinally try to every 6 months. Especially the one with me at night. Its a store purchase, but its big.
For me I find it easiest to tear a seam and blanket stitch the opening. After throwing away all the fiber fill I fix the worn seams that look questionable.
After putting it in the wasing machine I put new fiberfill in and stitch it shut with a visible colored thread. For me it just easier to cut just that one each time I clean it.
