They did, but it’s military variant is still being made.

Springfield Armory is bringing out a clone of the Hi-Power.

This will be nice since the price of Hi-Powers has skyrocketed in recent years, and I don’t have one in my collection yet. It also sounds like Springfield actually took their time to get the design right so there hopefully won’t be any issues like there were with those Turkish Hi-Power clones from a few years ago.

And Bushmaster is bringing back the ACR

Yeah all my 3D-printed gun frens want them to sell parts kits too, since Hi—Power frames are easy to print.

That’s because they are. One of the people on the ground there did an AMA on the FOSSCAD subreddit a couple of weeks ago, and they said their biggest issue was getting springs, of all things.

I just read an old WildC.A.Ts comic, so here’s a thing about one of Grifter’s guns.

They’ve officially replaced them with SIG P226 a few years back. But of course as with anything regarding the Canadian Armed Forces, rollout is snail’s pace.

The Hi-Power is still a decent 9mm pistol, is it not?

It’s a great firearm, and has a lot of appreciation from within the 3D-printed gun community because of how easy it is to print the frame for it.

Unpopular opinion: Steel is still a better option than ceramic plates.

With the coatings to prevent spall you can get for steel, and its low cost, its a good option for most people. But if you want to pay a premium for ceramic go for it.
