Miraculous Ladybug General [SFW, No Explicit/Grimdark]

 
For all the fans of Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir to discuss the show and episodes, as well provide art, comics, and theories involving the show. Be careful of spoilers but I will be providing a link to all the episodes so people can look into the show and/or catch up on it.

Chuckles, I did just marathon the 1st Season, Origins I-II, and the Christmas Special in just two days.
 
Also, I fixed the link so people can view without needing to ask permission.

Though I have enjoyed the show that was created, a large part of me still wishes they would have gone with the animesque style animation originally pitched for the show as shown here.
 
Though perhaps with more of the personalities shown for Marinette and Adrien in the current show or a blend of that with the characters they had originally, Bridgette and Felix.
 
Admittedly the latter was already pretty similar to Marinette, so not as much of a change there. Yet from what I found the personality of Felix is a fair bit different than that of Adrien. As to his motivation of gaining the affections of Ladybug, since I guess the only way to remove his ring as with a kiss from her.
 
The somewhat darker and more serious tone suggested in the video above I feel could have also been very interesting, though sadly the only way we’re likely ever able to get anything like that is through fanfiction or comics.
 
Again though, I have still enjoyed what they did create I’m just pinning a bit for what could have been.

Honestly I’m glad they went with a 3D style rather than 2D one.  
If I wanted to watch an anime I’d just watch an anime.

Fair enough, though I don’t like the implication you’re making with the rest of what you’re saying. That just because it’s made by a French company, doesn’t mean that the so be of lesser quality then 2D animation from Japan.
 
But I won’t go too far into that, as I feel what defines an anime is more subjective than the strict definition that a lot of people seem to try to use.
 
Particularly since many of the very anime they see as “real anime” are actually produced outside of Japan such as by a Korean company or otherwise off shore.
 
Still, that’s neither here nor there. I’d rather not derail the very thread in which I created for a show of which I personally enjoy even in its 3D animation style.

I wonder how they will explain or justify the outfit redesigns. Curious to see a better quality version of the new opening, and how they will bring in some of the other spoiler details.

I’m just hoping this season has Chat Noir as Ladybug’s actual equal.
 
’cuz in S1 for all it went on about them being partners he ended up as little more than a bumbling sidekick.

Gabriel’s assistant absolutely is the Peacock.

S2 E1: Gabrielle is Hawkmoth. I would’ve never guessed.
 
But seriously akumatizing himself is a brilliant move. Good show.
 
E2: Hawkmoth hears Chloe is having a party and drops an akuma there ahead of the time knowing she’ll cause (another) villain. Ha.

I’m just really disappointed with how Agreste IS Hawkmoth, it was just so damn predictable, I guessed that the first episode I saw him, I was hoping they tried to trick us or something, but noooo.
 
Also, am I the only one confused as to why they released all those spoilers beforehand? I don’t understand why they would do that, whether it was predictable or not.

Whether or not it was predictable from the beginning, I always knew it was only a matter of time. There was no one else in the entire series where it made anywhere as much sense.

I was hoping it was some new character we haven’t seen before.

God I loved Hawkmoth in Ep 7. You almost felt sorry for him.

yes, at least one episode. The episode is called “Chameleon”  
it had a “yes, finally” moment but then had a plot twist
 
5 seasons are confirmed so far. I wonder when we will see the other miraculous in action and how the peacock miraculous was damaged. Maybe Adrien’s mother was it’s holder before she got sick and ended up in that coffin. Would makes sense, since the butterfly and peacock miraculous are having similar abilities
 
edit: Never heard the english voice of Adrien’s mother, but her voice actor is Tara Strong^^
