Runa is one of many of Guardians and spirits that exist all throughout Ingracia’s many forest regions, and is usually regarded as the ‘Woodland Sentinel’, something she takes immense pride in, as well as her work.
She is often sceptical of adventurers who set foot within her territories, especially those who she is unfamiliar or unacquainted with, and will ceaselessly trail them until such a time as they leave or they show that they aren’t a threat, after which, she will leave them be until their return, should such a thing ever happen.

Runa’s thaumaturgy specializes in wind, nature and earth-based magic; with which she does everything that is within her power to protect her woodland home, often using a staff, an unstrung recurve bow, a pair of broadswords or sometimes even a shield as a conduit of sorts of her numerous spells and abilities
Adding to her list of abilities are her greatly-amplified strength, agility and senses, especially her hearing and sight. Furthermore, as a Sentinel, provided she remains within her territory, she can essentially ‘borrow’ mana and thaumic energy from the surrounding environment and then use it to augment her abilities, be they physical or magical.

The trade-off for her using it is that, as soon as it resolves, or she stops using it, she must then also give back an equal amount of her own energy back to the area she currently resides in. Runa’s armour is custom-made, and can double as another layer of skin covering her from around her neck to her waist as a sort of plateskirt. Said armour contains a number of specially-crafted enchantments and can also be used as a medium or conduit for her various spells and the like, be it for augmentation to bolster its naturally-extraordinary defensive abilities or to deflect or return an incoming spell, strike or projectile with equal or twice as much force directly back to its point of origin.

Another spell in her is her ability to communicate with the other creatures living within her dominion, with which she can locate and track down a potential threat or rush to offer assistance to whoever needs it. The last of Runa’s numerous spells and abilities is one which allows her to acquire temporary dominion over the immediate vicinity around her,
The result is a sort of imaginary bounded field which then connects her with the area closest to her and everything in it, granting a sort of kingship or authority over it and allowing her to control it. Said ability is most often used to deter or drive back a potential threat that Gal-Garth’s forest region may be facing, and is often used sparingly.

As a Sentinel, Runa is a bit of an anomaly. Although, given her reluctance for social interaction beyond what she may believe is necessary and her seemingly-constantly aloof demeanour, such a thing may be an understatement, as the rest of her colleagues are meant to be working in unison as a single, cohesive unit, rather than the more solitary position Runa is used to.
