In Malaysia, the government banned interstate travel because it was concerned with the Covid infections, which used to be 2000's of cases in January and February. Local health officials are worried that with people moving to their hometowns to celebrate Eid Al-Fitr (a Muslim festival), more infections will ensue, so they suggested keeping the interstate travel ban until most of the country's people are vaccinated.

Currently, netizens are [angry](https://rojakdaily.com/entertainment/article/11975/this-pdrm-notice-on-interstate-travel-went-viral-netizens-are-blaming-a-local-celebrity-for-it) with proposed restrictions on the few remaining forms of interstate travel, no thanks to either the festive reunions or the antics of a celebrity that attracted police attention.

Would you also propose a similar interstate travel ban if you were the leader, and something similar happened in your country? I personally find it irritating.
No reason given
