Bad, if true. The media is so hyperbolic and been caught in lies before that I have a hard time believing all the juicy details. I think regardless he showed a horrible lack of leadership that day, because…

After being removed from Amazon’s servers for violating their Terms of Service, having every post on their site archived as evidence, and their lawyers quitting, Parler’s plan is… to sue Amazon, a giant corporation with an army of lawyers.

I don’t think that it’s illegal, just bad precedent. They may have a shot at a anti trust angle. Especially if it could be proved that Google, Amazon, Twillio were working together, but…

They are all idiots. Qanon lacks the sophisication or leadership and thus is a mob in it’s truest form and shouldn’t be tolorated. Don’t want a loss of life but if they do a mass attack it should be put down strongly.

Apparently Mitch is “pleased” with impeachment, and is tacitly giving it his approval, believing it will make it easier to purge Trump from the party.
 
I’m not holding my breath, but Trump might actually become the first actually prosecuted President.

One thing I’m wondering about this second impeachment procedure: is it possible at all to wrap it up in less than a week? Even with damning evidence and a bipartisan hostility towards Trump, can Congress rush it in a way that doesn’t make it appear unfair in the eyes of the public (even if we know that’s how Trump and those of his crowd who didn’t ditch him will see it either way)? What happens if the Senate vote cannot take place before Inauguration Day?

The House is taking up the impeachment tomorrow. The Senate has a “pro forma” session on Friday and comes back for real on the 19th. In theory, they could turn the pro forma session into a real session with unanimous consent, but that’s unlikely. Either way, they have to vote on rules for the trial. They could vote to skip straight to the up-or-down vote.
 
That’d be a hell of a thing. A President convicted by summary judgment.

It was announced last month. I’m pretty sure this helped with Amazon’s decision about Parler. Them not moderating their content was just the thing they were looking for to boot them off.

Conservatives can still share their opinions and ideas on all social media platforms. The only things they can’t share are… ::checks notes:: literally, quote “Get the firing squads ready. Pence goes FIRST.” End quote. At that point, it’s no longer opinions but incitement to violence, which isn’t protected speech last I checked.

Don’t waste my time when all you have is a conspiracy theory and the ridiculous persecution complex of the right. Nothing in that article suggests collusion between Amazon and Twitter to bring down Parler. Parler got kicked from AWS as it got kicked from Apple’s and Google’s ecosystems because Parler refused to moderate their content, because they knowingly let their site become a haven for violent racists and fascists.

10 to 25 house Republicans are expected to vote in favor of impeachment.

On the Senate side? So far I don’t think any Republicans have come out in direct favor of impeachment. The chick from Alaska, Romney, and one other whose name escapes me want him removed, and apparently so does Moscow Mitch. If those 4 do, then I’d bet the chick from Maine would too. Even one of them votes for impeachment, that’ll probably give Manchin the DINO the all clear to support it too.
