I never got around to playing Resident Evil 4 until recently, and I never (fully) played a Metroid game until Dread came out. It’s bound to happen with many folks, especially if you grew up mostly playing shitty licensed games like I did.
(Also, the former two originally came out on a dead console anyway, so…)
