When I first started reading this thread I felt a bit cheeky, wondering if
@LegatusFlagrans knows what the “Roman Salute” is, but having read the rest, I don’t feel so good anymore.
@CouchCrusader
Your post disappoints me (assuming you’re the same person from EQD). It’s not the admins’ job to upload images, nor is it their job to tag them. Reporting duplicates is handled well by the algorithm now, but users still have a role to play in spotting them. The userbase has always had responsibilities.
I know the admins insist that downvotes are supposed to be a measure of quality, not of disapproval, but it’s your responsibility to make your voice heard - in some way.
@Braeburned
This also disappoints me. Aren’t you still highly regarded on /mlp/, the home of the anti-censorship dissidents? There’s standing up for yourself, but dammit man, actually oppose the far right, not abandon the center.
The swastika itself is proof that appropriating imagery is nothing new to the reactionary right, but disassociating with anything they merely touch will let them claim the middle ground for themselves.
Argh…
Very few of the “anti-nazi” posters here were involved in the anti-censorship thread at all. A lot of the anti-censorship posters are here though. I’d
speculate that’s because many of the “anti-nazi” posters don’t engage with opposing views.
Twitter is a toxic mess of woke bullies and mob justice; a great example of how a democracy run badly becomes anarchy.
