First of all:
 
NO, I never supported nazi (or communsim). No, Aryanne wasn’t my favorite OC.
 
I’m a neutral party here, who’s simply concerned about the site’s future.
 
 
Message to the Derpibooru Community:
 
Please, understand that if you accept one such simple censorship, this site will have a lot of other things removed eventually, because their removal can be reasoned in the same exact way (just like Aryanne is going to be banned regardless of context, even).
 
All it would take is one public article focusing on them, and they will be gone.
 
It’s very easy to reason the removal of a lot of things:
 
Let’s take Rape for example (this site has twice as much arts tagged with it than “nazi”):
 
  1. Rape is a real world problem. It can harm or kill people now (and it did in the past), and it shouldn’t be promoted or trivialized.
     
  2. Nazi is a real world problem. It can harm or kill people now (and it did in the past), and it shouldn’t be promoted or trivialized.
     
    See the similarities?
     
    And beside Rape there are a lot of other things on this site that can be potentially viewed as promotion or trivializing of very bad or harmful things.
     
    If we continue accepting the removal of ALL potentially harmful pics from the site,  
    then eventually all potentially harmful or trivializing fetish arts will be gone as well.
     
    Why stop there?
     
    Some public article in the future might shame Derpibooru just for having explicit pony content at all.
     
    Then what? The site will become “safe for work” rated only?
     
 
Regarding the Aryanne issue.
 
Yes, neo-nazi can potentially use her image to try to promote something, but they can promote their ideology in MANY other ways, even she never existed.
 
And I agree that if Aryanne picture shows her in the context of performing/supporting Nazi ideology, or has slogans in the art that promote Nazi, then it should NOT be allowed on the site.
 
But blocking shouldn’t involve ANY picture of Aryanne, just because she’s present there.
 
Ayanne was a created during the times bronies were ponifying everything: she was a ponified generic nazi girl.  
Communists were ponified as well. Even web browsers were ponified… Everything was ponified.  
It’s not trivializing, it’s ponifying.

If Derpibooru allows itself to be “a place that allows Nazis,” you will see a LOT more Nazis in Derpibooru.

Judging by the amount of tags for other bad things, like that Rape from my example,  
one could argue that this site is already “a place that allows rape and other bad things”.
 
Which, by your logic, would mean that here are rapists on this site.
 
So why do you all scream about nazi only, but not about everything else in the first place?
 
I could understand if you demanded the removal of every single potentially harmful thing that is a problem in real life.
 
But I don’t understand this singularity of vision: going ONLY against nazi, which was never all that prevalent on this site in the first place.
 
 
It all just makes it look like there’s an operation going on:  
a group of people organized to destabilize and destroy Derpibooru by starting and supporting all this mess.

Nazism has. ANY toleration of Nazism spits in the face of the blood, sweat, tears and toil of an entire generation that fought and died IN THE MILLIONS, to stop. And they HAD to be stopped. The graves of millions of Jews, Roma, Russians, Poles, Slovaks and anyone else Nazis considered “Untermenshen” stand in mute demand that we never, ever allow Nazis or anything they stand for be unchallenged EVER again.

Hopefully things will go well with that dialog.
 
I also think that you should take into conisderation people’s opinions who have at least a few weeks (maybe a month) of being on this site, though.
 
Because, there could be some organized gorup of people trying to destabilize the site, who’d try to use quickly made or pre-made accounts (perhaps using tricks with different emails), pretending to be a lot of different people supporting a certain agenda.

I’m sorry, but even if you do feel strongly about it from your point of view,  
just a simple art of a pony with a cutie mark, with a symbol that nazi happened to use for themselves, is NOT equal to message “nazi are good, follow their ideology” at all…
 
If the art portrays nazi ideology / actions/ slogans, then no matter WHAT pony would be doing those things, it would be promoting Nazi.
 
It could be Twilight Sparkle in Nazi uniform, doing bad things, and it would be promoting nazi.
 
I just don’t understand why Aryanne gets such strong reactions…
 
Just because people’s personal feelings were hurt by real life nazi, they want to eradicate every single reminder of it?
 
Okay, what about people who, let’s say, got raped.  
Seeing a rape picture on this site would trigger them as well, and they would demand the removal of those pics, too.
 
Should we just listen to those people who happen to have strong personal feelings, or maybe those people should learn to use filters for the content that offends them?

Making Nazis seem fun and cute just doesn’t sit right with me, and anything racially motivated is a huge hot topic the world over. It’s better to let the Nazi go and move on than to literally defend the Nazi swastika in the name of “muh freedoms”, which is the same argument Americans who think Covid is a hoax use.

I see you completely missed the point of my starting post of this thread.
 
As soon as this site begins to forbid content whenever some group of people would get offended by something on this site, it would completely destroy this site as a place of free expression in art form.
 
It’s not about nazi anymore, it’s about total filtering of content, which will begin with Aryanne, and will continue eventually with a lot of other things.

The real big problem here, is that we have a very vocal minority who has an opinion that Nazi imagery, even in jest, even as satire, should not be allowed. Ever. At all.
 
They don’t consider any context, they simply don’t want to be reminded of Nazi in any form at all.
 
But why the majority of derpibooru users should observe and be affected by all this drama going on, just because of that vocal minority who can’t just abandon site or use filters (nazi is hidden by default in filters anyways).
 
This is beyond my understanding…

So you’re ready to defend having on this site arts that trivialize and fetish-ize things like:  
rape, pedo (foalcon), mutilation, murder, any other bad ideology symbols in the world (except Nazi)?
 
But Nazi is clearly the worst problem in the world right now, right?  
We don’t have anything worse than that at all?
 
And if we do, why would you defend it?

Then ignore it, filter it, other people don’t find it offensive and understand that it’s satire/parody/shitposting/etc.
 
Don’t censor things based on your sensibilities, because your sensibilities aren’t objective, and there’s many people out there who would disagree with you.

I even see how “objective” Skoon is, after seeing rape and foalcon arts in his favorites. Of course they’d defend other potentially harmful, trivializing things that basically promote those bad actions, because they happen to like those things, but happen to hate nazi symbols.

Okay.
 
Aryanne is a sexual (or non-sexual) fantasy about a horse, or even about a nazi horse.
 
It’s a fictional character. And she had nothing to do with real nazi and their actions.
 
And before you say antyhing: rape or foalcon on this site, while fictional, are still technically represent the idea of things that destroyed lives for many people in the REAL world. They are real world problems.
 
And it’s not just a matter of being distasteful.
 
If you say that a cute or sexy Aryanne picture is somehow related to the real world nazi and what they did,  
then in the exactly same way those rape / foalcon arts are related to the real world’s problems as well!

I’m in favor of not giving hate groups and ideologies a platform for “archiving” their hateful bigotry in any form AND in favor of this place not being a safe space for groomers, pedophiles and other messed up freaks. XP

You can literally see the evidence on this site where the rules went from “Dont criticise BLM” to “Aryanne is banned” to “A whole lot of things are banned.” over the course of a month.
