"aeroplanes and meteor showers" vs. "airplanes (song)"?

I just spotted the tag aeroplanes and meteor showers.

First off, why does it exist? It doesn’t appear to be a lyric from the song, nor text present in memes referencing it (unless I’ve just not seen it.) I found like 4 results for that phrase on Google that aren’t just data from Derpibooru.

Second, a number of posts are tagged only one or the other, a majority of which (but not all) are probably just under-tagged.

Third, does it mean something different from airplanes (song) or should it get aliased?

Apparently is the name of the “Mordecai and Twilight singing Airplanes” meme. I suppose the tags are separate in case the song is referenced outside of the meme. The meme tag should imply the song, probably.

It’s a little iffy whether it should imply, because you can reference the meme without including the song, like in >>2693307 or >>2824671

Anyway, should I take it as a mod blessing to clean up the tags such that “aeroplanes and meteor showers” goes on all meme format parodies of it, and “airplanes (song)” goes only on ones including the lyrics or other direct reference like an airplane or shooting star?
