General Tag Discussion

All the images under the explicit text tag could be replaced with the vulgar/explicit + text/dialogue tags, but I didn’t just wanna go through with it without any input.

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but should there be a tag for people who commission multiple of the same image? Or some of the more well known commissioners? Like the guy who kept commissioning people to draw his oc having sex with Spitfire, or the guy who keep requesting EQG getting their feet tickled while singing? (As seen on these images: || , , ||, which are all commissioned by the one guy, and to multiple artists) .
 
I think it would help a few users (Not wanting to filter the artist or the fetish, but annoyed by them seeing the same thing), by allowing them to filter it without going onto the images to complain about it.
 
Or would it just be needless hassle, or should we add a different tag for those images, like “Singing while laughing” ?

I support the idea of tagging ridiculously specific, repeatedly commissioned stuff. If there was a general tag for it, though, it should be one that is implied by the individual tags.

Also, in case someone else was thinking the same thing (artist:hunterxcolleen _{how the heck does one make a colon-having tag link work}), there should be no need for a separate tag if the pics created by the person for themselves and thus easily filtered.

Hmm. So basically they are equivalents of “filly/colt” and “baby pony”.  
That should probably be added to their descriptions.  
(Nymph doesn’t have any atm and is slightly misused for both because of it.)
 
And “larva” also exists as a separate tag, I’ll add. (Only 1 or 2 non-changeling pics under it.)

You could use a [ part of a series AND (kink in question) ] as a Complex Filter, if the part of a series tag gets enforced; a polite PM to the uploader asking them to tag such a series of commissions would probably help with that.

But that’s not what ‘part of a series’ means. They have the same theme, but they are almost never in continuity. (Or at least the ones I see aren’t, but that’s mostly because I see it on vore stuff. Looking at you, Star Sage.)

A dozen images of Celestia 69ing the same Royal Guard OC commissioned by the same person sure seems like a “series” to me, but either way it would provide a useful site functionality for people who are likely to arglebargle about it to block it, or to have it STRONGLY SUGGESTED by a mod that they do so.
 
…Or, y’know, for people to seek it out on account of dang that guy commissions some hella good artists.

Sure, and there are also _~waifu~ people and other partisans who couldn’t be arsed to care about any other canon character gettin’ jiggy wit’ an OC, but will fly in through the window like a flaming fruitbat to burn down a comment section if Their Special Somepony were to be sullied by a filthy OC– that was just one example of something that would benefit from a [ part of a series AND (kink in question) ] Complex Filter, which would be more broadly useful than trying to come up with a brand new tag that nobody is familiar with using.

If you think that convincing everyone to use “part of a series” as that tag while either simultaneously being used for “a bunch of images that actually happen one after the next like a disassembled comic page” and the people who use it like “part of a set”, or while separating that into its own tag, more power to you.

Query: we have a generic pony and an unknown pony tag. Is there much of a point to those given we also have the oc, unnamed oc and unnamed pony tags?

Hello anyone. It bothers me when I tag ‘portrait’ and ‘bust’ is implied. A bust and a portrait are different. A portrait does not always contain chest and shoulders, but a bust does. I think ‘bust’ should imply ‘portrait’, but not the other way around

General grumbles, why is “female on male” aliased to “straight” when it’s a special subset of “straight”, and “femdom” or “female on male rape” aren’t applicable to a great portion of the stuff. So it’s basically impossible to use the search to find such stuff.

Bizarre, had no idea that was even a tag. (Tho I assumed Femdom was a replacement) Not to mention we have Female on Futa so I’ll see if the former can be aliased and just made to imply straight.

A ‘portrait’ by default always is a ‘bust’, since ‘portrait’ is more specific than ‘bust’.

If a picture has pony Sunset in it, should it be tagged Equestria Girls regardless of whether the image is directly related to the movies (besides having Sunset in it?)  
I’m asking because someone’s removed the tag from two of my images and I’m not sure if it should be added back or not.

All ‘bust’ are ‘portrait’ but not all ‘portrait’ are ‘bust’, since ‘bust’ is the shoulders-and-head-specific form of ‘portrait’, and ‘portrait’ additionally includes stuff like full [figure] portrait, couple portrait, group portrait, and so on.
