I’ve rolled out the tags
prance (character) (Reddit favourite; this also cleans up the old
prance tag) and
undertone (came in second on Reddit, picked by the Wiki) for the
Prince pony. Both should be added to the character category. Both could imply “prince (musician)”. For now, only “undertone” should imply “prance (character)”, but not vice versa yet; see below. In most cases I’ve also removed the
purple rain tag.
Prance is also being mentioned in the
neigh anything comic arc. First of all, there’s the panel in which Cadance holds the
Magenta Rain record cover which I’ve tagged
prance and the revolution (that’s actually written on the cover). Prance looks different on the cover than in the show, but then again, his show appearance came long after neigh anything.
Should this be tagged “prance (character)”, too, despite the different looks? If yes, shall we actually suppose it’s the same pony, also tag it “undertone” and make “prance (character)” imply “undertone”?
Besides, there’s
the Prince parody in Katie Cook’s Top 10 comic, and there’s Andy Price’s
RIP drawing. Both don’t show a character that could be identified as Prance, but the former drawing shows Fancypants in Prince/Prance’s place.
I don’t think we can tag them “prance (character)” if it implies “undertone”. My suggestion is to tag them “implied prance” so that these pics aren’t tagged “undertone” if the pony in question isn’t in them. And what if “prance (character)” does not imply “undertone”? Still “implied prance” or straightaway “prance (character)”?
