From what I know. The current 4Chan is nothing like the 2010 4chan we knew.  
If I would recall, they’ve been having major staff shakeups since the tail end of 2014.

I don’t know where else to put this so I’ll do it here.  
This guy on another forum I used to frequent, is so deluded. He thinks the CMC getting their marks was the worst thing to happen to the show. Here, I’ll quote a post.  
“You’re wrong. I will always hate the CMC cutie marks no matter what, because they should’ve just disband by now. By stopping being friends of course. And the point is: A cutie mark DOES change anypony at all. And FYI, they’re being manipulated or brainwashed by their cutie marks by telling them what to do!”

4Chan has seen better days, yes. Now you can’t even say anything without a horde of trolls going there to bash everything on the grounds that if it’s from 4chn than it’s wrong and evil.  
Hell, remember Pencils? There’s a reason he barely bothers to visit the place anymore since his comic threads kept being attacked and shitposted over and over again.

There was this one dude I once got into an argument over A Canterlot Wedding on DeviantART. He REALLY hated Cadance in particular and thought it was the worst season finale, and called me an idiot because I actually liked it.
 
I think shit like that is why I get so defensive over my opinions nowadays. I also once got called a “Glimmertard” for liking Starlight. That particular moment led to me basically blowing up here and then asking for a one-week ban to get my mind off of things.

I’ve seen G3 purists.  
In fact we even fought against one over 4 years ago.

So not every people who has a strong opinion of Lauren F. in either side are open minded. It’s like politics minus slightly the confusion. (some of these folks could have a form of hypocrisy)

Oh god damn you got to bring those guys up. I won’t be too surprise if one fan of the entire “fanbase” say a decent animated flash series is horrible compared to Newborn Cuties.
 
I have yet to hear positive opinions towards those god awful shorts and I don’t know if I want to hunt down in the deep dark abyss of any archived internet thread or comment form from like, ,09-2010 or whenever those shorts came out at the time
