You think it’s gross now, you should have seen the stuff they used to get away with.

They’re basically saying that everyone who works on The Loud House is guilty by association with Savino and they deserve to lose their jobs, even though some of them were the victims of Savino’s harassment.
And claiming that it’s “easy” to find a job in the animation industry, when it very much isn’t.

Creator of Loud House who has been accused by several women of sexual harassment and has been fired as a result.

Nostalgia Purist
We know Sibsy apparently had to put up with sexual harassment early in her career, but she’s also said repeatedly that it was long before she worked on MLP.

Normal is overrated
Not a fan of Mark Beaks, so far he’s the one thing I can’t stand in an otherwise great show.

CB’s point is that continuing the show would be to perpetuate Savino’s undeserved legacy, and that the cast and crew have a moral obligation and entitlement to be reassigned to other projects. I’m in agreement and would much prefer that Nick wash its hands of this mess, but unfortunately, TLH has proven too profitable as an asset for Nick to just drop now. Well, that’s Hollywood for you.

Yeah, no. Most of them had nothing to do with what he did, and some of them were probably some of his victims.
And it is not “easy” to find another job in animation.
This is victim-blaming, plain and simple.

Dude, clearly it is wrong to ever work with someone like him, so they all need to stop having anything to do with working on the show and move on to other things. /s

Seriously, people need to learn to separate art from artist.
If a complete a-hole can make a good show that isn’t directly effected by there opinion or actions then don’t damn the show for the person.
And when it comes to thing where multiple people work on it but only one of them has done something wrong then you are damning them all to act like the show should suffer.
And I have not seen any real effect within the show caused by Savino’s actions, so don’t damn TLH and the other people working on it for what he did.

Why stop at the show staff? If they’ve got the moral duty to quit the show, what about others associated with it? What about whoever green-lit Loud House in the first place? Can we expect any less than resignation from every magazine or newspaper or internet writer who praised the show? They perpetuated the legacy of an accused harasser and they have as much control over Savino’s behavior as the show staff. Shouldn’t it also be their moral obligation to find work elsewhere? I’ve said I liked Loud House online, am I morally obligated to leave those sites? I’m only slightly less responsible for Savino than the show staff, why shouldn’t I be made to try and find other things?
That’s the problem with expecting people who aren’t at fault to accept a punishment. The punishments can just keep going and going well past the point of ridiculousness.

I didn’t see anything in that article or the comments saying the people working on The Loud House were guilty by association, just that it should be taken off the air because it’s a kids’ show (loosely) based on the childhood of an apparent sexual predator, and that the people who work on it could easily be reassigned within the company or find work elsewhere. The former assertion I have some sympathy for even if I ultimately disagree with it, largely because the show doesn’t strike me as even vaguely autobiographical; the latter, well, if Nick decided to end The Loud House they’d definitely need another animation series (or two) ASAP and should be able to find positions for all their staff, but I don’t think Amidi is justified in assuming they could easily find jobs elsewhere if they were let go.

Guilty by association is shit and everyone knows it. You can’t just cancel a show and throw around the staff because of one guy. Not only is the show profitable, but the staff is going to suffer if it gets canceled.

Wanna know what makes this Chris Savino controversy worse?
Remember that he wrote Boast Busters back in Season 1?
And that Lauren Faust envisioned a boastful male unicorn, but Savino had the idea to make him female instead?
Savino is essentially Trixie’s creator/father.

Partly incorrect.
He came up with Trixie as she was seen then but seprate from the unnamed male unicorn, it was then Jayson Thiessen’s idea to replace the male unicorn with her.
