Watching the last episode of Hinako Note.
 

 
It sure is going places.

Since the second season will start next month, I planned to finish “New Game!” the rest of this month. This happened faster than I thought, as I wanted to watch the eight episode today… but ended up watching the remaining episodes right afterwards.
 
As that implies, I liked it a lot. It has everything a good CGDCT should have, it’s funny, very cute, has nice characters, a good amount of yuri subtext and a bit of fanservice. In addition, it gives a relatively realistic glimpse at a Japanese game company, albeit in a very light-hearted manner (although it doesn’t really hide how stressful it is). It’s also relatable and has lessons for actual game development.
 
I’m really looking forward to the second season, however its title (“New Game!!”) kinda bothers me. It was such a great opportunity to call it “New Game+” but they just let it pass. I disapprove.

Did anyone ever notice that all the teachers in UA Academy (My Hero Academia) have Quirks that work great on disabling their opponents without harming them?
 
Really fits with a bunch of hormonal students.

Apparently Andrew x akko would have become canon of a producer didn’t cancel that idea

They’ve got good chemistry, but I’m not sure their relationship’s been developed enough at this point to merit a romantic payoff. If there’s a second season (fingers crossed), then they’d have the time to work something like that in a lot more naturally.

I REALLY want to watch Little Witch Academia.  
But at this point it would be best to wait for official Netflix release since it’s only a week away.

As in, it doesn’t even exist.

For MAL’s challenge, I planned to watch Macross F because that’s outside of what I’m usually watching (mecha stuff is not really my thing) and apparently very good (at least, it’s very popular). And after nearly five months, I actually saw the second episode. And the third. And the fourth. And if it weren’t late, I might have watched more.
 
So, I guess I’m really liking it already.

Except Macross 7. That one’s just so-so.
 
You’re also doing yourself a disservice not watching the previous ones first. But if you’re only watching one then Frontier is the right choice.

As I said, it’s not the kind of stuff I’m normally watching, so I don’t plan to see anything else. Whether that’ll change depends on how much I’m going to like Frontier (which I picked because it’s highly regarded and relatively recent). Originally, I wanted to watch Macross Delta (which I thought would be more accessible to me, due to the higher focus on the idols), but I lost interest by the second episode already.
