My Hero Academia

I love this show.
 
It’s a shonen anime with a protagonist who’s actually smart, who thinks things through and doesn’t run on pure determination. Seriously, having a shonen protagonist who actually uses his brain is incredibly refreshing.
 
The characters are so great too. All Might’s my favorite.

Anime or manga?
 
Anime wise, the Nomu vs. All Might was the sequence that made me the most giddy the first time I saw it. The buildup and how perfectly the music was edited in each scene is still impressive even after multiple viewings.
 
In the manga, All For One vs. All Might had the most powerful theming behind it that singlehandedly made it a beacon of modern literature in the same vein as Watchmen.

This show gave me the same feeling I felt when I first watched Naruto 12 years ago. That is wonderful…also I’m fucking ancient.
