So the website just confirmed Luigi now uses his vacuum as part of his throw. Neat.

I always thought he should have that as a throw in SSB.
 
I also like how they finally brought back Wario’s trademark shoulder-charge/bash attack from the “Wario Land” series. Only this time, it’s as his running/dash attack, which I always thought it should’ve been in the first place.  
His downwards throw attack also has him preform his ground pound move from Wario Land, as well now.
 
Seems they’re making many improvements to the returning characters. Kirby even has his dash fireball attack back from “Melee.”

I noticed prior to Wario Ware Gold that they seemed to be denying Wario Land ever existed. Was actually surprised to see a Wario Land 3 reference in Gold.

To be fair, other “Ware” series games had WL microgames. Or at least, the first, and “Smooth Moves” for Wii did.
 
But yeah, after “Wario Land: Shake-it” kinda failed in sales, (shame, considering apparently all it’s hand-drawn graphics took a long time to make) the WL series kinda died unfortunately. The Gameboy games have sold well on Virtual Console though, so hopefully Nintendo will someday revive it.

I wish they would’ve also brought back Wario’s “missing frames” animations from Brawl, where frames of his attack animations were intentionally missing to imitate the animations from WarioWare. It was funny and made him stand out more from all the other characters.

According to Gaming INTEL, we might be getting the next Smash Direct around November 8th.

Simon and Richter would’ve been perfect reveals for a Smash Direct on Halloween, if they weren’t revealed already.

I’m glad they added that touch. As more Smash games come out, the more different Luigi becomes from Mario.

I love those little details as well. They’re nice callbacks to other games and make the fighters feel unique from each other. It’s a win-win really.

Invasion of the Body Snatchers: Smash Bros edition?

I remember hearing that Ditto WAS going to be in Melee, but technical limitations prevented it from being implemented properly.
