Nope, none of the fights had auto heal, the critical hit sound even played too that you get when you kill someone in a Stamina match.

Sorry but WHAT? why Sora in smash would cause this? he is a videogame character!

I don’t know why either, but it’s probably because Sora, while definitely a video game character, is technically owned by Disney (along with the rest of the Kingdom Hearts franchise excluding the Final Fantasy bits), which could lead to people thinking that characters like Shrek and Goku suddenly have a chance because Nintendo would be willing to work with non-gaming companies like Disney.

I hope you realize that literally 90% of people who claim to support Shrek/Spongebob/Goku are just doing it for the meme.

Some oddly aren’t joking, or being ironic about that. You’d be surprised. In fact, Goku was pretty high in the Smash ballot.
 
That said, I agree with Sakurai that SSB should be just game characters.
 
If they let in anime/cartoon characters, then that would hurt future game characters’ chances of getting fighter slots in future games, or they might even take slots from current characters. (Sakurai said this “Everyone is here!” bit is going to be a one-time thing, so they might remove some characters for the next game.)  
Plus, seeing how SSB has mostly Japanese characters, it makes Western animated characters less likely, and American/European/Australian fans would get mad if they don’t have cartoon characters from their territories, and just anime ones.  
On the other side of that issue, Japanese fans probably don’t care about characters like Shrek, or Batman, and might not be as happy to see them. (In fact, there was alot of drama from Japanese SSB fans over Li’l Mac getting in.)

I can see that happening

So does anyone else find it interesting that even though the datamine for Ultimate had names for the Pirahna Plant, Joker, and Dragon Quest Hero DLCs, there was no sign of anything that could indicate Banjo in there? Or the remaining two DLC fighters for that matter…
 
And of course there’s also the rumor about how there will eventually be 15 DLC fighters…

Given how well Smash Ultimate has done, it would not be surprising if we ended up getting one or two more DLC “Fighters Pass” sets after the current one.

So the next spirit board event is going to be themed around the Metroid series.

Admittedly, as I said I like the WTF characters too, and I wana get the plant too. (Does he come with the Fighter’s Pass?)
