Look, I’m not going to believe this coming core game on the Switch is gen 8 until there is official word.  
It reasonable not believe somthing without real facts.

I used to be a nintendo fanboy, but nintendo’s been acting so stupidly, and making absolute retarded business decisions over the last three years, they’ve lost my trust utterly, Nintendo’s going to have to earn my trust back or I’m done with them for good.
 
But you’re right, it’s wiser to assume that the nintendo higher ups are in fact dumbasses, they’ve been playing the part well enough so far haven’t they?

I meant more that pokemon relsese hasn’t been as predictable as so many act like are for a number of years now.  
People were expecting Gray but we got Balc2/White2.  
People where expecting Z, we got gen 7  
People where expecting Sinnoh, we got Ultra Sun/Moon.

For one, nintendo thought that they were so important that they didn’t need to advertise the wii-u’s existence, so by the time that it released most people didn’t know that it even existed, and half of the people that did though that it was another wii add on, they thought the wii-u didn’t need a strong library either
 
They apparently thought that making a convoluted controller that made porting games hard wouldn’t stop 3rd parties from porting

Funny thing is, I voiced my view of not believing these past ones until there offical word and at lest one person acts like I’m stupid to not believe what is supposedly sure to happen, and I was proven right to not get hyped without that offical word.
 
Right now people are acting like it’s a fact that the core series game they are working on for the Switch is gen 8 and/or that gen 8 will be on Switch.  
I will not believe these to be fact until offical word sayings so.
 
I do think that it makes sense to put gen 8 on Swtich, but right now there is nothing to prove it is.

and as soon as the Wii-u showed signs of failing they immediately threw their arms up and hid behind the 3DS’s sales to hold them up and left the Wii-u to die.
 
On top of that, despite everyone wanting the nintendo classic, they hardly shipped any out, and quickly canceled it

Seriously we need a separate topic for this. I’m traumatized by the idea of one I have to remind myself I’m not doing one every time a Pokemon faints.

They have no idea how free advertising helps them, and they clearly don’t care about the “free use” bill that allows people to review their shit on youtube.
 
They even pull theory videos that don’t even show gameplay just because people have the audacity to talk about their shit!

My favorite volcano in Pokémon is Stark Mountain. I also like active Reversal Mountain from White 2.

To me it’s “are they still supporting the DS line?”
 
If yes than Pokémon still has a home there there’s still a chance the next gen will be on that system.
 
If the DS line has ended and Nintendo has thrown all the support into the Switch then yes a mainline Pokémon gen would undoubtedly be on it because what else Nintendo going to release it on?
 
That doesn’t seem to have happened yet so I can’t say in absolute terms that G8 is going to for sure on the Switch.
