Yes, he forgot EVERYTHING he learned over the seasons before.
And people pitched a fit over him acting more like a 10 year old in Sun&Moon.
At lest he’s not back to square one in common trainer knowledge as he’s learning about the way it is in Alola.

Well I think a lot of its “issues” are cherry-picked and the fact that they aren’t exclusive to BW and the criticism of BW is riddled with contradictory nitpicks that ignores the existence of those same problems in past series.

The problem was that BW tried to imitate and copy the original series, like trying to reboot it. But in my opinion, it went wrong.

As I already said, I barely watched the season because regional reasons, like Ash’s new voice actor that I dont like (even to this day), the “replacement” of Brock, which I also hated, and the fact that Ash was “resetted”.
I watched few episodes, which only showed my those points I mentioned. Didn’t see enough to find the positive part of the season.

Level 2 affection gives you pokemon an exp. boost. Also if an Eevee still knows Babydoll Eyes it will evolve into Sylveon.
Full affection may allow them to withstand moves that would normally KO them and, apparently, increase there Evasion and Critical Hit rate.

Latin american voice actor.
This is more in personal like, since I enjoyed more the old voice actor than this one. Is about childhood dude, and changing something significantly like voices, changes everything. Is not the same.
Also I disliked Cilan because he was trying to be Brock. No one can replace Brock
