Someone should do a playthrough (or at the very least convince Pimpnite to do a theme team) with nothing but fluffy Pokémon.

Welp, my hype for the Pokemon Masters in Lets Go! got seriously dampened.
 
Instead of fighting a trainer with a team of 1 specific Pokemon, you fight a 1 on 1 battle with them, which you also have to use the specified Pokemon. Also, they get special moves, in the trailer the Gyrados master’s Gyrados uses an electric move. How is that even fair?

Feels like they’re trying to overcompensate for people’s complaints about the “lack of challenge”.

Ratatrophic is based off of Naked-Mole Rats, which explains why it has no fur and it’s eyes seem somewhat closed.
 
The poison typing is a reference to, with the edition to its signature move, to colds and the flu and how you’ll catch the cold by sneezing

Maybe I’m jumping to conclusions but I really don’t feel like these fights will be balanced at all if they just give the AI pokemon your weakness. There’s already enough challenge based on the fact that these battles seem to be post game They had pokemon lvl 75 and the fact you need at least 1 of every Pokemon if you want to clear the challenge.

I like it, Poison/Normal is a really cool typing that should be used.
 
I also like the signature poison move, but Giga fang is kinda too similar to Hyper Fang. The name is fine since it’s in the fang family but the stats and function are pretty much identical.

i would recomend that giga fang either poisons the target or is poison type.

Yeah, it wouldn’t make sense for another copy of hyper fang, so it being poison differentiates it a little :P

Yeah changing it to poison works, but then you have to change the name since it doesn’t fit the Super/Hyper/Giga fang name scheme. Also there’s already a poison fang, so that would be kinda confusing too.

Wait a tick. I completely forgot this game has Megas in it despite there not being any hold items. Yeah NVM these fights are back to being a joke. lvl 75 Gyrados with Tunderbolt? Who cares, Mega Gyrados still beats it. Lvl 76 charizard with Thunderpunch? A joke compared to Mega Zard-x

Huh, yeah that is an issue… Maybe there wont be 151 Masters like they said there was, I doubt there’s a trainer with a Mew/MewTwo so maybe Ditto is the same way.

Apparently there’s NOT a Ditto fight, the Ditto Master just wants to SEE a “strong Ditto”.

so in reverse to the other masters, instead of fighting with 1 pokemon of your choice and a specific pokemon you fight with a specific pokemon against whatever.

I just thought about this, but in general Ditto is a lot worse since there’s no more held items, specifically the choice scarf. Now anytime you use a ditto you still have a 50/50 chance of going first.

What Decidueye should have been. Nothing about screams Ghost, I don’t care about being based on an extinct species. All the fossils are extinct and not one is a Ghost.
