You know what I’d like? A sequel to Sonic CD that fixed the level design problems, but stayed with the same aesthetic and musical style. Because the whole Metal Sonic thing was awesome! I’d love to play through those beautiful environments and actually be able to have fun while I do it.
 
There’s probably a fangame that fits the bill out there somewhere.

… Yes. But that only has one fun zone from Sonic CD, and doesn’t have the Sonic vs Metal Sonic story running throughout the whole game.

Also, Eggette needs to be made canon.

Ugh, honestly fuck Eggette and people’s obsession with the concept. Every other Sonic OC is more interesting to me.
 
Also fuck the internet for mocking OCs.

OCs did have a time when they were flooded with recolors but that time has passed and now OCs are better than theyve been before. Even the edgy ones.

I think she’s kinda adorable personally, and you never really see “human” Sonic O.C.s much. I like seeing more variety.
 
I will agree the internet kinda picks on Sonic fan-characters too much, and it’s kinda like beating a dead horse. There are a few nice ones out there, that people should give a chance.

There’s a reason why Eggette is popular and it’s that she seems to be a viable character.
 
When a person makes an OC, they shouldn’t try to make it as edgy or cool or cute as possible. The most important factor of making an acceptable OC is to make it look like you can find it in canon.

No, the only rule to OC is making what you want. No one can police others on how they design OCs. If they wanna make them ‘edgy’, or ‘cool’, or ‘sexy’, they can. If someone IS trying to make a character fit into the series design, then okay, but not everyone does and no one should judge or police others’ OC designs for it.
 
I just find Eggette to be a dull concept as I simply don’t care for human OCs.

I never said that you can’t make an OC of your own taste. I just explained the factor of Eggette’s popularity.
 
If you want to make an OC, then do it. Just don’t be surprised when people aren’t interested in it or laugh. And don’t get mad either when they criticize it. You kinda dug your own grave for this.

People shouldn’t act like that to begin with, in any fandom. People are too judging about things that don’t concern them and it’s very depressing and shouldn’t just be treated as a consequence of expressing yourself. It’s not a nice thing to be.

but isn’t the eggette/OC difference is eggette is mostly a group consciousness thing rather than one person, one character? like how it’s different to have one fan make a completely original character that’s an utter god than a fandom latching onto one character/concept then making it popular?
