Surely you guys can’t be this obtuse. When there’s a Muslim attack, Trump will say “radical Islamic terror” until his face turns orange, but whenever one of his supporters start killing minorities like in Quebec, Oregon, or UM, it’s either silence or a half-assed message of “unity” condemning “all sides”. Even then, his white nationalist base (Like David Duke earlier today) throw a tantrum. Anyone who continues to wilfully deny this is just going be ignored by me from here on.

I just find it hard to imagine an adult joins an extremist political group just to be accepted. There are clubs people can join, or join a church, you know non-political groups. There has to be other factors that go into it, such as mental problems.
 
Now if we’re talking about teenagers or young adults then I understand.

Think of it like this….what do you want in school or college? Friends that accept you right? But what happens when sudden alienation happens because you have different political views than your former friends? You will seek out friends that accept you to fill that loss. That is this but on a much MUCH larger scale.

I rarely share my political views with my friends or family, I follow the guide of not talking politics to my friends and family.
 
But if my friends ditch me for my political beliefs then they’re not really my friends. Ususally people make friends by talking about stuff like sports, movies, games, you know fun stuff. So yeah, I’ll seek out friends but I won’t use politics to find them.

Agreed, however it could be said that by referring it to “Radical Islam” it implies that by being “Radical” that it is not being true to Islam, and thus by extension blaming “radical Islam” is not necessarily blaming Islam. I’ll leave it to people who have a better understanding of the nuances of the Islamic faith to comment on that.
