A school in Mississippi wants to take “To Kill A Mocking Bird” off the reading list for 8th graders, this kind of thing exposes the double standards allot of people have, they want to delete all of the wrongs minorities suffered from history, but then throw a hissy fit if you try to remove a statue honoring someone who fought to maintain slavery,

The only time that racism is not as bad is positive racism (something I have experience in). It’s where you look up to other races instead of looking down on them. It’s still bad, but better than most.

Fun fact about the FCC: most of the regulations they enforce as law weren’t even passed by Congress nor has gone through a vote from the general public. In fact, according to George Carlin, the FCC (an appointed body, not elected, answerable only to the President) has decided all by themselves that radio and television were two aspects of American life not protected by the Free Speech provisions of the First Amendment to the Constitution…all because a Reverend Donald Wildmon of Mississippi sent them a letter over hearing something on the radio he didn’t like. Apparently, nobody told the Reverend that there are two knobs on the radio (at least in those days); one knob turns the radio on and off and the other (Smack!) CHANGES THE STATION! It’s called freedom of choice, and is one of the principles this country was founded upon. Here’s the source.
