I agree, it should. But both still need addressing. Trump has no excuse for not fixing the problem of separating families, even if it’s been going on since before his presidency he has the power to stop it.

I keep getting different information, but apparently this backwards immigration issue goes as far back as at least Reagan.

But the “Kidnap children and hold them hostage in internment camps” is specifically a Trump policy.

Oh and almost 2000 children has been taken from their parents at this point. Over 2000 most likely, since that was lowballing the number.

This on top of the 5000 missing children.

Well, Trump didn’t attend the G7 meetings on Climate Change and Woman’s Rights either.

At least he’s being consistent on not being a part of things he doesn’t believe in.

I swear, I don’t know who the next president will be, but at this rate they’re going to have to spend their entire time in office making up for the multiple disasters that will inevitably be Trump’s legacy.

Human rights isn’t his strong suit.
Neither is business, leadership, empathy, decency, human emotion, intelligence, and not being a flaming pile of garbage.

Anyone remember that “Space Force” Trump mentioned a few months back? He’s pushing for it again. Same guy that’s been gutting NASA by the way.

Oh and he used the term “Separate but Equal” [to the Air Force] when he was endorsing it. I’m sure his appreciation of the phrase has no relation to it’s historical use.

Trump also legitimized a tyrant who routinely murders his own people while his nation spirals the sewer drain.

Other US presidents have outright supported dictators before, see Pinochet and Suharto.

Meanwhile in the UK…

The Conservative party in 2017: BILLIONS to the NHS? Inconceivable! Magic money tree! You’d have to raise taxes!
The Conservative party in 2018: So, uh, are you guys willing to pay more taxes so we can give a few billion to the NHS?

I’m glad that well-needed money is going to the NHS, but if anything shows how bloody disingenuous the Tories are, it’s this. (For the record I’m quite certain that the whole country has been willing to have taxes raised to fund the NHS long before 2017.)

Important to note that America supports 73% of the world dictatorships, this isn’t anything new to Trump or Obama. The supposed “bastion of freedums and demorazze” cares more about having “allies” and corporate profits than it does about human rights or democracy.

Also, pretty sure weaponizing space is against several major treaties.
I’m like 80% sure space is considered international neutral territory and falls at best under maritime laws.
So yes.
I’m fairly certain you’re thinking of the very lengthily named “Treaty on Principles Governing the Activities of States in the Exploration and Use of Outer Space, Including the Moon and Other Celestial Bodies” (aka The Outer Space Treaty) of 1967. It prohibits the placement of weapons of mass destruction in outer space (moon and Earth orbit included), limits the use of the Moon (and other celestial bodies) to peaceful purposes, and expressly forbids using them for testing weapons, conducting military maneuvers, or establishing military bases, installations, and fortifications.

Pretty sure that’s why he wants to gut NASA. Science and stuff nah. We need a military force in Space.
My biggest fear after hearing that load of nonsense he came up with was that disbanding NASA was exactly what he planned to do. But then I doubt he cares about the organization that gave us one of our greatest national achievements and a defining moment of the last century. That’s money that could be spent on weaponizing the final frontier.
