The loss of the preexisting conditions coverage will be the most devastating.
 
I know several people personally that will have no way of getting health insurance if the ACA falls.
 
Good, hardworking people that would be denied just because of bad luck. Not lazy sponges that just “can’t afford it”. They have jobs, children, and homes. And Healthcare by the grace of a flawed but better system than we had before.
 
Insurance companies are disgusting creatures.

indeed, first thing i would do if granted omnipotence after dealing with all the fundamental flaws of the universe, would be to force every person who ever had a job that caused them to murder people for profit to always introduce themselves explaining the names and lives they erased for the bottom line,

In the far future, like superseded. In the near future, no; nobody’s going to run on or attach their name to any initiative that can be easily accused of fostering sexual promiscuity, assault, “think of the children”, etc. It’s political (and social) suicide.

9/11 and several economy crashes are pretty bad, especially within the span of 20 years.
 
I’m bringing up 9/11 because it feels like the definite turning point for America and how they (the government) spend their money.

The individual mandate which was part of Obama’s signature law, the “Affordable” Care Act, meant that you either had to purchase health insurance or pay a tax to the government. Now that everyone was forced to buy insurancem insurance companies had no real incentive to make health insurance available at low prices.
Except the insurance companies have never had a real incentive to make health insurance available at low prices. And prior to the ACA, the low price options they did offer were almost always garbage policies that covered next to nothing and did little else make a profit off of the poorest members of society.

I know what you mean, but I would encourage you should stick around. Dissatisfied people tired of what those in charge are doing are the same people throughout history who have worked hardest to change things. The last election didn’t go the way it did because people were indifferent, that’s for sure.
 
Come January, Trump will no longer have a system where every branch of the government is willing to do whatever stupid thing he wants and ignore all the terrifying abuses he perpetrates. Having the House may not seem like much now, but it really does have the potential to be a big hindrance to him. And two years from now, if people are still passionate enough, we can make sure no branch of government is left that supports his kind of idiocy.

He and his administration laid the ground works for some of the core tenants. Low taxes for the rich, and massive budget increases to the military while cutting safety net programs to try and make up for tax cuts. Ironic. Conservatives love to say they’re for small government, yet at the same time they wish to expand the most expensive military in the world and intrude on the rights of citizens such as the patriot act. That wasn’t Reagan though, I’ll be fair…but there is the Iran-Contra affair

No one seems to care about the people whose premiums tripled or worse thanks to it, to the point they had no choice but to just pay the penalty and go without insurance.
 
And then there’s the outrageous deductibles that make it pretty much worthless.

By comparison, low-end estimates on Trump’s vacation costs (being very restrictive on what’s considered a “vacation” and about a year out of date) puts it at close to $24 million.
 
For the record that low-ball estimate still means the government has spent more on Trump’s time off than it spent on things like: Resettling Syrian refugees, Gun Violence research across a decade, international Green Climate funding, renovation of historic black colleges and universities, mental health aid programs, Baltimore teen pregnancy prevention, and even Obama’s vacation expenses compared to same time in office.
