I haven’t seen his Sheldon vs tropes GOW but I have often read that Sheldon as a character IS an asshole and jerk. And TBBT is a pretty “popular” sitcom nowadays (or was, never seen it) so people will automatically think that autistic equals asshole. You also have to look at your demographic. If it’s a sitcom then I doubt there will be many geniuses that watch it.

You know, it’s people like Jerry that make me worry about the future of our children. Because parents, in his eyes, don’t have anything to say any more to their children and kids are growing up to be ungrateful, whiny, disrespectful little brats. That’s not good. Kids need discipline, kids need rules, kids need to know that if they do something very wrong that there will be grave consequences, otherwise they’ll grow up and beat up their boss the moment they say the coffee breaks aren’t important and then they are fired immediately.
That’s the future we’re going into.
I am not for child abuse, absolutely not, but I think a pain signal (physically or verbal) can do a lot to a child in the learning process. Example: what will the child remember most? Burning his hand on the stove so he knows it hurts or even prior getting a slap on the wrist because he can’t touch it OR the parent tellling them “now little Timmy, you shouldn’t touch the stove. It’s ouchie ouchie on your handy wandy.” while they wiggle their finger.

Thank you. And Peet, stay the fuck away from criticizing songs when you have absolutely no idea of what you’re talking about.
I’m thinking of doing a sort of “GOW” myself and since Peet uses that stupid remix of Glass of Water, I found this remix of Aviators of The Magic Inside (it’s an absolutely stunning remix) and I think I had the right choice to do it.

I got into an argument with a kid in my engineering class yesterday. He said that characters and storylines need to be “relatable,” and I argued that they should instead be compelling and enjoyable because being “relatable” is piss-boring. Of course, he said I was “taking it too literally” and compared the plot of Star Trek: Voyager to someone being on a yearlong business trip as a way of proving it to be “relatable.” Any ideas as to how I can shut this dipshit up?This guy is using “relatable” as a buzzword to sound smart, demonstrated by the fact that he compared being stranded on the other side of the galaxy with being on a business trip, therefore stretching the definition far enough to no longer mean anything.
End the conversation with “You’re an idiot” and leave.
