Your first mistake was supporting EA at all.

I’m hoping the next Dragon Age covers the hinted at Double Blight. Really don’t care for the inevitable war with the Qunari.

I don’t think I’ve ever compiled my favorite games ever made, so here’s my top 5.

Oh come on, EA didn’t make shitty games throughout its entire lifetime…

I did start out making good games like the Sims 1 and 2 (and Pets).  
Then, it kinda got fucked real bad by itself.
 
I remember when people complained how the new Simcity was a disappointment because it has one a quarter of area than the previous game. EA told the press that they couldn’t make the game any bigger, or else the hardware couldn’t handle it. So modders came in and made a mod that would let you use the whole map.
 
Not only did the game crash, but the whole computer did. The processors had pretty much exploded. No hardware of the time could handle it, even the highest grade. That was the most recent time that EA gave a legitimate reason on why the game sucked. I’m not even sure if it was EA’s fault or the modder’s.

don’t talk about their successes as if they’re their own, the same goes for Konami. Most of that success lies in the developers and studios.

I know. I’m talking about now. They’re still one of the worst companies today. Back then, naw. I’m saying you shouldn’t support current EA games.

SimCity 2012 was a failure because of the always online DRM, which was broken, and EA claimed it needed to be, until they were proven otherwise.

Anyone who claims that “Single-player game X must be online DRM” is obviously dumb since we’ve had decades of games of that doesn’t have online support. EA only made it required because:

If I remember correctly, someone tested it out by just shutting off his internet while playing. Took the game an hour or so before it even realised the connection was gone.

Too bad DRM only stops piracy until it doesn’t. Like denuvo. People will always find a way to crack DRM.
